I am pleased with the shocks, and the delivery. They are already installed, and the ride is greatly improved. I replaced the shocks a few years ago with some aftermarket ones off Ebay, and it certainly shows me that spending a bit more for quality, pays off in the long run. The cheaper price is NOT the answer.

it's very difficult to rate my experience simply because the one-on-one contact I had with customer service was great, but the reason I had to have the one-on-one is what left a bad taste in my mouth. Simply, the shocks I received in the mail had been previously owned by someone else and returned to the store for one reason or another. When I called and brought it to their attention, they didn't argue with me, they apologized and sent out another set. So Customer service deserves 5 stars, but the level of incompetence or poor warehouse management that resulted in them shipping out a previously returned product, without even opening it when it was returned, created an inconvenience for me. I had to reschedule my time to install the product by having to wait for the new set of shocks to arrive. BTW, the shocks themselves are great also.

I used the spring helper shocks in the early 70s. I have had a hard time finding them in recent years and was happy to find them again. They have improved the ride and towing ability on my truck.

shockwearhouse is good source for shocks, but still, i advice them to do two things: 1- Creat their own research and tests on shocks and struts and share the results with customers and manufacturers. 2- creat measurable means for feedback assessment, because it is not enough to give 4 or 3 stars for the product or saying "it is working well" the review should cover a certain check list or criteria so the other buyers could make a correct decision.

I've been dealing with Shock Warehouse since they opened in approximately 1988. Their transition to online sales has been a little less evolved than other suppliers. This has also made personal contact with my sales reps more challenging. Now I understand this transaction occurred during the holidays, but my business continues, so I expect theirs does too. My order fell through the cracks somehow and took several weeks longer to deliver than was predicted. Then making contact to get accurate delivery was difficult. Then the estimated shipping dates were not met. In the end, my customer lost confidence in my ability to serve him. I probably lost him. I can't have that, so I'm afraid I will have to use other suppliers in the future. It's been a good long run, but I need timely, accurate information about an order to maintain integrity with my customers.

The shocks came on time. They were 'touring' shocks' I selected to get a smoother ride from my 2002 Mercedes CLK. The do not help the ride; no change from the factory shocks. I guess the suspension is the cause of the very stiff ride.

BEWARE! Two Bilstein shocks failed at same time, almost exactly 50K miles. At first, customer service was helpful...just long enough to sell me replacements at full price (no discounts allowed for warranty replacements even though I had a coupon code), charge me full price to ship them (even though they are offering free shipping...doesn't apply to warranty replacements apparently) and have me pay full price to return the faulty shocks. Once the replacement shocks were received by shockwarehouse.com (confirmed by UPS and customer service), radio silence! No confirmation of receipt until I called after 3 weeks of nothing, no response to the several emails I have sent requesting status, online chat always times out before you get an operator, and no response to the email I sent to owner. All this just to ask what is happening with my return/warranty. It costs me an extra $50 for all the shipping plus the $180 for warranty replacements I have never been reimbursed for. This company will steal your money. BEWARE!
