This was primarily bought as a reading light - to replace one with a wobbly base (due to poor design) and has the bonus of an uplighter. This light appears well made and fixes well to the base so should never wobble. The switches are very well placed half way up stand which saves scrabbling around under the chair. Both lights are dimmable - turn control to click on and continue turning to full brightness. Both lights are bright enough for purpose the uplighter is particularly bright but I suppose you pay for this with power consumption So far I have not experienced any buzz from dimmers as others have. I bought some IP44 rated bar spot lights to use in my new extension shower room, they are just what i wanted although i put LED lamps into them in place of the Halogen ones supplied. Great product overall.

I tried to buy lights with a company that let me down. I then sourced the same lights with affordable lighting where I paid half the price and the items arrived literally the next day after ordering. Really happy with all aspects of the service and would definitely order from them again.

These lights turned up almost immediately after we pressed the button to order them - nice one! The two sets of ceiling lights were excellent quality and are a talking point for visitors to our new home. So much better quality than some of the 'not fit for purpose' rubbish turned out by some of the big name retailers. Only gripe was that delivery options were 'UK Mainland', Scotland, Wales, Highlands etc etc. Look at the atlas guys, the UK Mainland is bigger than England and living just north of the border here in Scotland I refused to pay the £19.99 demanded. Just put UK Mainland and it will probably go through without any issues. A bit upsetting though, that everywhere has to pay extra except the home soil of England (or is it UK Mainland!)

I have been looking for a semi flush ceiling light and matching wall lights for our lounge for some time. I came across Affordable Lighting as part of a final Google trawl and found some original lights with matching wall lights. The lights arrived very promptly and I am happy with the style and the price.

Friendly lady at the end of the phone, answered all my queries and fairly effective delivery although it depends on the courier service.... all went well.

Ordered a light fitting which arrived quickly and was packaged very well however overall product quality was very low and unit required assembly with very poor instructions provided. I'm sure if I had shopped around I could have got exactly the same fitting from B&Q et al for around £20 -£30 less. My advise - have a good shop around first!

The lamp is well made of cast brass and would enhance any home especially a Georgian house. However, the specification states that the minimum height of the lantern is 40cm but in fact the minimum is 41+ as the brass centre decorative 'nut' is below the main casing and had to be removed to clear a door! Would recommend to anyone but check the clearance if it is critical.

Excellent product (Franklite WB393 picture light) supplied at a good price came well-packaged for transit and was delivered very efficiently by the carrier (DPD) on the date and within the specified time slot (DPD is definitely my favourite carrier and give a very good service). The only slight criticism is that despatch of the product was a little slow (ordered on the Wednesday and delivered the following Tuesday) but not a problem in this case.
