3D Hubs is just obvious for those they haven't an expensive 3D Print.

3D Hubs is a brilliant service that has a lot of potential. As someone interested in 3D printing, but not enough to buy my own, it's great for getting the occasional 3D printing project made. I like their focus on finding printer close to me, although my area is a little sparse. It's easy to arrange shipping though, and prices can be very reasonable if you search. I would like a way of ordering hubs by price, and the site struggles to remember my shipping address, but these are minor issues that I'm sure we be resolved in the future. I'll certainly keep using 3D Hubs for my projects & would recommend it highly

So far, 3D Hubs has been the best way to 3D print something without all the hassle of purchasing and managing a 3D printer. The interface is very easy to use, just a matter of uploading the desired file, choose the materials and find a hub near you. It also handle communication with the sellers in a very streamlined way, making the whole experience silky smooth.

I have been on both ends of this service (providing 3D printing services and getting stuff printed). From both perspectives I find it difficult to find the "best" option. They use an algorithm to display printers that might meet your criteria but without a "price low-high" it is hard for small operators to set themselves apart by offering the best price and it is frustrating when you place an order only to find (when working on another project) a printer with a lower price. They put too much emphasis on an anything less than 5 stars is 0 stars model. I have heard from other people providing services that the rating system makes it difficult to push their hub beyond the hobby level into a business.

I wouldn't call myself someone capable of some of the extravagant 3D designs that you can see across the internet but I've designed a few things using FreeCAD and with thanks to the ease and straightforwardness of 3D Hubs, I've been able to get some of my designs printed! The service itself is great, I'm able to compare local and international printers with various options of print quality, postage types and materials. All in all, I'd definitely recommend 3D Hubs for fast efficient printing.

I used 3dhubs.com to print my hobby parts, it is a great platform, easy to use and allow me quickly check the cost and choose printer nearby. I usually can get my printout even on same day.

So far my experiences have been great through out the entire broker process between designer and maker. What is missing are additional services like laser cutting and silver foundry.

I have only had good experiences on 3D Hubs. I always go by both the lowest price and best reviews before I have someone print my parts.

I am a professional sculptor and I use 3dhubs to find different materials and I am able to compare the prices. That's how I found my favorite hubs that I stick with - and some of them are in different states. if I want to try out a new hub I am sending to this hub something small to print and If I like the result I will send the actual piece to print. there are plenty of different materials and printers. some of the printers can print a large piece but your quality on the printed piece can be not great, and some of the printers are printing small pieces but there is more of chance it to be great quality. but to be honest it all depends on the owner - how good he can operate with it. Nice site which allows you to send your STLs to various print hubs and get initial estimates of printing costs. Just experimenting with 3D printing here, so this service is absolutely ideal for me. Lots of local hubs on the site and generally they seem very helpful and responsive.

3D hubs provides an excellent platform for both those looking to create prototypes and models as well as printing companies. As i understand it, the process does favour those looking for prints as the policy ensures that if the quality is lower than expected there is a refund. This is somewhat open to abuse. What 3D hubs is however is an idealistic company with a great ethos and is providing a service both efficiently and reasonably that really benefits production and design - networking designers and print engineers. 3D hubs not only provide a highly beneficial service but they do an excellent job of delivering it and my experience has been flawless finding several commendable hubs to produce prototypes for an excellent price.

Each of the supposed 'active' hubs they sent me to either didn't respond or rejected on basis of size (size of a copy cup!!). I have wasted a week on a rush job that I could have had now done through conventional means. On top of this I could not give any of the hubs presented any review feedback. No wonder they are all glowing 5 star rated - presumably 3dhubs only filter favourable outcomes - thereby grossly distorting reality of the situation. Services like this might have attraction for finding the lowest costs or convenience of pick up - but the price you pay appears to include having to deal with cowboy outfits. For rapid prototyping hosting a site full of unreliable vendors who all have excellent ratings is no good at all for more professional customers with time being a resource as well as cost.
