United Kingdom | 28 June 2022I had the pleasure of dealing virtually with Paul Barnet. Credit to his experience and non pushy salesmanship. I had seen a sofa in a local store (hundreds of miles away), but had been disappointed with their service. I called and spoke to Paul who made some suggestions as to what fabric/colour worked well in the model I liked, and insisted I check a colour swatch before he would just take an order. We then did a video call where he showed me around their huge and immaculate showroom, showing various colours and iterations of the sofa I wanted, holding swatches against the store models. After selecting a slightly different leather to Paul’s original suggestion, he ran me through pros and cons of my choice. I feel he really was expert in his field, and felt reassured making my distance purchase after seeing the showroom, and Paul’s patience in showing me around it. My sofa has a 28 week lead time (I knew this), so I hope to have some updates and communication prior. Can’t fault the service so far.

No overselling, no pressure to buy, very pleasant, agreeable staff who were extremely helpful with questions regarding the items I wanted to purchase. Orders now placed, I shall rate them again when the goods arrive.

United Kingdom | 17 June 2022We needed flooring throughout our whole house and were having a difficult time finding a company that could help us with the whole job, until we came here. Phil was so helpful and told us exactly what would work best and gave us so many samples and choices. The daunting process was made so much easier with his honest help and expertise. He organised everything and made it a smooth and simple process and we could not be happier with the finished results from carpets upstairs to LVT downstairs. Highly highly recommended!!

United Kingdom | 12 June 2022After ordering a sofa we were quoted 12 weeks delivery it took 25 weeks and when it arrived it had been cut on both arms with a blade, so a replacement one was ordered we were told it could take up to 22 weeks delivery but hopefully sooner. we never heard from them again so after 25 weeks I contacted them and was told it would be another couple of weeks after 30 weeks I sent an email saying as a gesture of good will I would give them untill the end of June to have it delivered to my house or a full refund. The amazing thing is we received a phone call the day after the e-mail was sent to arrange delivery. In conclusion I will never buy anything from this company ever again so BUYER BEWARE as the customer service is so bad this site won't let me put into words my true feelings

I don't usually write reviews for good service as I generally accept this should be the norm but Michael went 'above and beyond'. Totally professional and helpful in a friendly manner he is an asset to Taskers. Hoping completion and delivery of the order is equally as efficient.

United Kingdom | 09 June 2022It was an expensive lesson. I bought a sofa bed during covid period where the viewing and sales took place via a WhatsApp video call. 1. The sale process First of all, the buying experience was poor. The salesperson Daniel definitely overhyped the comfort and quality of the sofa bed (I only found this out later when we received the sofa). Anyway, after 2 video calls, I was about to make the purchase, the scarcity tactic he used made me really uncomfortable. I told him I needed to think about it as I have never bought a sofa online before without trying it. He then said the special price discount is only valid if I purchase it now, if I come back tomorrow he wouldn’t be able to honour it. I did not give in at the end and told him I would let him know the next day. Guess what, the special price was still ‘valid’ when I went back to him after a day or two. 2. The sofa As the purchase was made over the phone, we only got to test the sofa out when it was delivered and assembled by the company. It turned out the headrest was in an awkward position, one would not be able to rest on it while watching tele. The chaise is also not levelled with the rest of the sofa (it’s an L shape sofa bed) The after-sale support was very poor. We requested a return or a credit refund the following day however after multiple phone calls to the staff, we did not get anywhere. They always just brushed us off saying they will need to speak to someone and no one ever got back to us. We chased again a few weeks later and again they said they will need to speak to the director but the outcome is likely negative. We gave up at this point and decided to donate it away. (It is that uncomfortable!) I’m sharing my experience here in case you are looking to buy a furniture piece over the phone with them. Please do not trust their salespeople and read the fine print. There should always be some sort of flexibility for distance selling return.

Chased this up with them, they said was due in to them from the 15th May. STILL no news of our furniture at all, think a personal visit is in order to see the manager SOON.

United Kingdom | 06 June 2022I placed an order for a (ironically “Stressless” brand) chair back in January, with an 8-10 week lead time. That was fine and understood. At each and every turn I have needed to be the one to chase for an information update and on each and every occasion when Taskers eventually do reply (a few days will pass each time) the deadline is pushed back further and the process is repeated. Unless they are pursued, Taskers do not volunteer updates or push the process along at all. They fail to provide updates at self-volunteered deadlines. I just have no trust in them at all. We are here, now 19 weeks later. I understand there are supply chain issues globally, that can’t be helped. It’s just that there is no update I can trust. It may be in the UK now. They may be in touch to arrange a date for delivery. Who knows. I’m just tired of chasing repeatedly. When it finally turns up, the chair may well be nice. I certainly hope there are no issues as not sure I will wait another 19 weeks for it to be fixed. But I certainly know I don’t want to repeat this customer experience. And wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. To be clear - it’s not the delay… I understand that… it’s just the appalling customer experience.

United Kingdom | 24 May 2022Was recommended to Taskers and visited the showroom with ideas for the sofas we were looking for , the salesman was knowledgeable and found a number of options that were ideal , there was no hard sell just very informed good service . We placed out order and were kept informed of the progress of our order and was delivered on the promised day and time , all round we were very happy with both the service and our new furniture.

Staff at Taskers, keep telling us, that will get back in touch with remedies for our problem, and with the date for the delivery of the paid order, but they never do. Original order placed December 2021, 21 weeks ago.

United Kingdom | 25 April 2022I will try not to use Taskers again. It is great that they have a showroom and that you can actually see items - however - Firstly we ordered a king size bed. It was delivered on time however the delivery guys would not use shoe covers, they just waltz into the house and think it acceptable despite being asked. When they uncovered the mattress it had a cut in it and so had to be returned. I had to insist that they replaced it the same day because they had them in stock, and thankfully they did. Ivor (the owner) said that the reason that they didn't use shoe covers was because it was dangerous carrying beds upstairs with them on - to which I agreed but then pointed out to him that we live in a bungalow!! But it is all even worse from here in: We then ordered a Stressless leather sofa and chair. It was ordered in October 21 and we were told that the sofa would be with us by Christmas but the chair not until March 22. This was accepted and so nearer the date after we had removed our old suite I contacted them to verify the delivery date. We were told that no way would the sofa be with us for Christmas. We therefore had to sit on our conservatory suite during the Christmas period however why could they not contact us and keep us informed?? If I had not contacted them they would not have made the effort. I expressed my disappointment to Ivor the owner and was told that he would try to get both the sofa and the chair for end of January - which once again we accepted. January came and went and still no sofa or chair. Ivor gave all sorts of excuses and even said that some of his staff members in the office were under so much stress that they were crying! I politely pointed out to him that I am just the customer, not a councilor or his HR department!! Ivor can be very rude at times almost making it out as though it is the customer's fault! In March the sofa arrived - the delivery guys had a hell of a job getting the sofa in and had to dismantle it. Now they assemble the pieces in their warehouse prior to delivery and so I asked why they would do that when it is far easier to carry and assemble in the property - I didn't get a reply. Once again no shoe covers or care taken despite being asked. The sofa was noticed to have marks on it and was generally not of the same quality as the showroom model. Then my wife noticed that it was not even the same design as the one we had ordered! Unbelievable! All through this episode Ivor told us that we could not have the showroom model to make up for the time wasted. Once again I spoke to Ivor and this time gave an ultimatum - either deliver the showroom model and collect the one delivered or give us a full refund and cancel the deal. We now have the showroom model at a slightly reduced price due to it being a showroom piece and are happy with that. The second lot of guys who collected the original suite and delivered the showroom one were far more professional and made it look easy by just removing a couple of bolts! They still didn't wear shoe covers however. The chair was due to arrive in March originally - It actually arrived today 25th April. Once again they couldn't get it down a standard corridor so had to dismantle it on the driveway - very professional - NOT! Once again no shoe covers but at least we now have all of the items and we can put this all behind us. I would never have though it could be so difficult to spend over £6k of my hard earned money. Very poor service all round and this is a real shame because I have used Taskers for over 25 years. Not happy at all.

United Kingdom | 24 April 2022We visited Taskers for a new sofa and certainly had plenty to choose from and we're allowed to look round not being chased by the sales personnel but were told if we needed anything just ask so we did and spoke to Malcolm Pitts who was very helpful and warned that there was long delivery waits so we decided to look elsewhere but found that most places also stated long delivery dates and didn't find what we wanted so we returned to Malcolm who assisted us with our choice of sofa he was knowledgeable and made us feel like we were a valued customer and were very pleased with our purchases.

There was a long lead time on the manufacture, but we were told this when we placed the order. The sofa arrived within the original estimated timeframe and was delivered up to Scotland efficiently and arrived in good condition. No Complaints.

United Kingdom | 24 February 2022Extremely poor customer service. I ordered my leather suite on the 3 rd October 2021 with expected delivery date of 23rd Jan 2022. No communication since walking out of show room. I rang on expected delivery date to be told a delay. Would be in country on 13 th Feb and delivered 23 rd Feb. Again that date arrived with no communication from the company. I rang to enquire what was happening to be told they didn’t know but wouldn’t get delivery until end March - 6 months after I ordered and paid deposit. I can accept delays, although I feel this is excessive, but for no one to contact a customer to update them is extremely poor. Not only that they don’t care about lack of good customer practice. I have used the company for years but this level if customer service is atrocious
