good delivery then a bit of a hiccup until I found the right contact to install it, guided by a neighbour although I had a plan which would have led to the same good result. All well able to get into the building where I live again

I ordered a videx handset from door entry direct and on delivery of the item I removed the cover to find there was no buzzer installed and also there was two wires not connected I contacted door entry direct to inform them there was parts missing from the handset On this point I had to take a picture of the handset with the cover off and a picture of the box the handset was in By this point I wasn’t happy with the service I’d been given I had a defective handset which I had to return ( having to pay for the delivery )

UPDATE: A representative called me today (4th) and apologised for the confusion and are refunding the cost of delivery. They also confirmed my order had been dispatched and would be delivered next day (which had already been notified through the normal automated channels) To be fair, this follow up demonstrated excellent customer service, so I have adjusted my score to 5 stars, as I was very pleased with the way my concerns were handled!..... Top marks Door Entry Direct! Requesting a review before delivering the order!? Placed order in Christmas week (29/12) paid for next day delivery. Was quite late in the day so assumed delivery would be on the 31st. Nothing to say there would be any delays or that the company had closed for business during Christmas. I sent an email on the morning of the 30th to enquire why is not seen a despatch notification, auto reply received advising normal response times. By lunchtime I thought I'd call as still none the wiser as to when the delivery would be coming. Got through to an answerphone advising they were closed and stating normal business hours (which I was calling within!) Ar this point I dusted to realise something was amiss so looked on the website again and found a small notification stating the company was closing over Christmas from 24th Dec to 4th Jan. Overall I feel more could have been done to make me aware that the company would be closed over Christmas when making the purchase, or when sending the order confirmation, or on the auto reply email, or the recorded answerphone message. Instead I had to search for this info myself after all other avenues of contact had not advised of the situation. Hoping to get my order by the 5th, but so far the experience has been somewhat frustrating!
