Called before ordering to confirm whether an order raised on Tuesday would be OK for Sunday. Was nervous as the shipping policy didn't indicate this was possible. No next day shipping available. Called multiple times during the week, was assured it would arrive in time....of course it didn't. I would have been able to order items from another website, had they been a little more truthful upfront....

Ordered Banners for a special birthday in good time 26/5 and paid for next day delivery. 5 days later still waiting. After several attempts at calling (line always busy) managed to get through to them 31/5; they advised I should receive via Royal Mail that day. Was suspicious that I haven't received dispatch email or tracking number. It is now 1/6 and still nothing. Unable to contact on the phone, line is busy and now going to be too late for event. They are very happy to take money, not so good at actually producing the goods! I am extremely annoyed and consider this company to be incompetent at best, dishonest at worst. Will be requesting a full refund.

The balloon I ordered was lovely, just as described. I requested a specific delivery date and it arrived 2 days early which caused some hassle to go and collect as I wasn't home for the delivery time. Great value for money and will more than likely use again. Thanks :)

first time we've bought from party pieces, great service by them kept me informed of delivery, we was totally happy with the banners we had made great graphics and quality for a very reasonable price, would definitely recommend, thank you party pieces

Order process was simple and delivery was great. However, the product itself was awful. I order a personalised helium balloon, opened up the box and it was basically deflated and the lettering was peeling off. Wouldn’t recommend buying one of these, as the quality was awful. Contacted them the day it was delivered and am still awaiting a response. Customer service isn’t looking good.

Paid nearly £40 for a balloon for my husbands 40th birthday. What I received did not match the image on the website and had a hole covered by tape. Awaiting a response and full refund. Would expect a helium balloon to last longer than 1 day after delivery.

I ordered a Choclate sponge for my sons birthday when it arrived it was damaged sent them pictures they sent a replacement which was not a Choclate sponge it arrived the day of my sons birthday we could not use it as it arrived 5.30 by which time his party was over we had to buy a cake my son wanted a piece of this on cutting the icing was all falling off and the cake was dry and not Choclate I have emailed no answer didn’t even get a receipt with order number or tracking numbers for both cakes until I had to ring and ask for the first one no tracking number provided for second am very dissapointed in the cakes and I defiantly won’t be using again I see they reply to a lot of good reviews but hardly reply to the bad ones am still waiting for a response from them

Ordered helium number balloons. They arrived. The number 5 was in its original packet. The 0 was screwed up and in a zip lock bag!! It was torn aswell. I contacted the company asking for a replacement as it was for a 50th party!!! No reply!!! Disgusting customer service!!! Wouldn’t recommend or use this company again! I would ask for a refund but I know I won’t get a response!! Stay clear of this company!!!

Dreadful customer service- Ordered 2 personalised banners on 16 April for my daughter and her friend to welcome them home from a 6 month ski internship in Canada. On 20 April received an email saying banners were being dispatched. Then - nothing! I emailed last Thursday 27 and got no response. Then at the weekend I emailed again and received no reply even this morning 2 May (the morning of airport trip). I called them at 11 am and the lady wasn’t particularly apologetic, rather short in fact. Said Yodel had returned goods on 24 April as they were damaged. I was not contacted - why? My emails were ignored- why? Today we headed off to the airport without banners. Really disappointed and disgraceful customer service. The lady offered to send them today but I said too late and asked for the money back. No money has been returned to my account yet and an email apology would have been polite. Will never use this company again. My order number is 378096 - I got an email saying my money would be returned but it hasn’t been yet! Not great when it was 3 weeks ago when I made the order and paid for it.

I ordered a personalised luxe blue bubble balloon for my nephew’s first birthday! It was delivered on the day it was supposed to and it’s now almost five weeks later and the balloon is still going strong! Very impressed with the service & the product! The balloon now features in almost every photograph of my nephew!

Unfortunately i’ve had an overall disappointing experience and this was my first time ordering from Party Pieces and i don’t think i would ever choose to order from here again which is a shame because i was hoping to become a regular customer. It initially took me 3 days to manage to order the cake because i would upload 3 photos and then the website would crash and automatically reload so i would have to start from the beginning and it took a very long time to upload the photos. On 30/03/2023 i emailed with a few inquiries and some were answered but other things i asked were disregarded. I asked how they packaged the cake and they did not answer my question which was frustrating because i wanted to ensure it would be delivered safely because i live in an apartment but regardless of this i placed my order on the 5th of April and i assumed i would receive it good time because we were going away for the week so my plan was to take it with me but it didn’t arrive until the 13th and i was told on an email i would have “plenty of time for delivery before the 17th” but the cake still wasn’t dispatched until the 12th so i was getting very anxious so i would not recommend choosing standard delivery because it caused me so much worry and stress because it was so close to my mums birthday and i didn’t have a cake and I didn’t think i was going to receive it in time. They sent the cake using a 48 hour service but thankfully it came the next day so I’m pleased with the Yodel service. I only chose standard delivery but i didn’t expect it to take 8 days and i was panicking thinking i wouldn’t get it in time. On the 12th i asked whether i could pay to have it send via express delivery but no one replied. I was given a tracking number but i needed a username and password to track the cake which i didn’t have so the tracking was not valid which caused me more stress. I live in an apartment and the delivery driver pressed my intercom and when i got downstairs he had gone and he left the cake stood up on its side on the concrete floor even though the package said “fragile” and “keep flat” so as a consequence the cake had some slight damage on the icing because it had slid down the box. There was a dent on the edge on the cake which was noticeable but this might of been due to the poor delivery, the printing looked good from a distance but up close there was a few bubbles and flaws which was a shame and some of the photos looked quite white and pixelated but the text was nice and clear but i was not impressed with cake at all it was nice and moist but i didn’t think there was any flavour, there was not enough buttercream in the centre and the icing was too thick to eat and not in proportion with the cake and i genuinely wish i would’ve just purchased a cake from the supermarket instead. In regards to the actual cake i think £30 + postage is excessive for what you receive and the icing was VERY thick and measured almost 1cm at the sides all around the cake so we had to remove all the icing because if you ate that amount of icing on top of the cake it would be very sickly so i paid £30 for a personalised photo cake and ended up with a cake with no icing on top which i could’ve got for £2.50 and the personalised aspect was pointless because the icing was too thick to eat I’m not sure whether all the cakes are the same? I pushed some candles into the cake and the icing was so thick the candles did not touch the sponge which is not what I expected for a £30 cake. It says on the website (and i was told in an email) the cake would have a 10 day shelf life however i received the cake on the 13th and the expiration date was the 19th so that was 7 days not 10 and it wasn’t my mums birthday until the 17th so that left us with 2 days to eat the cake. The cake was scheduled to arrive on the 14th which would’ve only been 6 days. I thanked the company when i received the cake the following day but they did not respond which made me feel as though they did not really care about customers been happy because if they did care they would’ve replied and been glad i received it in time. I felt like all the correspondence was very blunt and wasn’t friendly whatsoever because they never wrote good afternoon or hello etc on their emails which made me feel like my emails were an inconvenience but i couldn’t help having some inquiries in regards to my order and the company need to understand it’s risky ordering a birthday cake online so some customers may have queries and questions. Personally I don’t think i would choose to order from this company again and I’m sure their other personalised products are good but I wouldn’t recommend the cakes especially for £30.

Useless. Second time I have entrusted party pieces with special birthdays and been badly let down. Some items failed to arrive of which I had no notification. Items were standard (non personalised), seemingly in stock and I paid for next day delivery. Birthday came and went, still no contact. When I finally got round to calling they seemed unaware that my stuff hadn’t been delivered, claiming it had been. I stated that what was delivered was a small part of my order only. Eventually they agreed and said they would refund. But no apologies for the inadequacy and the fact that the special birthday had been and gone. I gave them the benefit of doubt as this happened before but with this second episode I could not recommend.
