I think findmypast is very good

Early days yet but have found information gathering a bit inflexible. Putting in known information is sometimes difficult. However, I am used to Ancestry so am still finding my way around this site site.

Easy to find information and access the 1921 Census. However, I would likely have signed up had you offered a monthly subscription in the same way ADNA does.

I found some fantastic links but for me it is tricky to navigate.

I was recommended to Find my Past by two professional genealogists however my experience to date is that you are presented with many facts like birthdays, deaths etc without any back up information, like mother, father, mother's maiden name etc. so it is purely guesswork after that. I then need to search Irish Genealogy myself. Personally I feel this defeats the purpose of paying over €200p.a. I will continue to pursue the family tree on this site and look forward to finding something new.

I love your site. It definitely has improved. My only problem is it’s so expensive. It used to have a monthly payment option. Which was good. I can’t afford the price now . Everything else is great . Thank you

Could do concessions for Pensioners and have special offers for over 66. It's good to keep mind active in old age but it's all to expensive

Yes the only problem with that is if you purchase any certificates and wish to up loaded them onto a said ancestor they become totally unreadable, another frustrating thing is you can only up load one thing at time , and the actual trees are like trying to walk through treacle to navigate Images are resized when uploaded to the family tree and so will not be in the same resolution as they were before you uploaded the file. The 1921 census records in particular are proving very useful for my research. the search facility makes it very easy to find records. I hope to also make more use of the newspaper articles to uncover more information. I'm still finding new information after 20 years plus research!

My niece started me off on Findmypast, I am fascinated by the amount of information that I have been able to get with the help of your site, my family are overwhelmed and grateful for all the work that I have put into our family history, I had been trying for years to bring it all together and thanks 👍 to you I have achieved a great deal. Enjoying the old newspapers and the occasional unexpected gem from the eclectic collection of databases. Many happy hours wasted....

I was able to piece together some missing links I couldn't find elsewhere Sometimes I got suggestions for family members from my tree and I was able to grow my tree

I've really enjoyed using Find My Past. It makes completing my family tree really easy

I enjoy the newspaper collections and the way the when you do a look up, so does the computer it does a comprehensive search.

Good English records but poor Irish and Scottish records. Many of us have German heritage so unpublished German records would be an asset.
