Australia | 21 March 2019good coverages, easy to use, good assistance from "help desk" when I made a mistake

Ireland | 14 March 2019I found extra information that I didn’t get from Ancestry. It annoys me therewhen you give a name and parents of a person and you get people totally unconnected from other countries!

Ireland | 14 March 2019The search engine is diabolical. It is often easier to go to the archive and search the original records manually than suffer the frustration of a poor search engine. It actually puts me off using the website apart from census records.

Ireland | 06 March 2019Great database with extensive search facility.

New Zealand | 27 February 2019This website which I have subscribed to for several years is the site which has produced more information about my British ancestors than the other major ancestry websites. Easy to use, not pushy for continuation of membership and veritably a pot of gold for ardent genealogists.

Ireland | 31 January 2019i need to make worthwhile contact with you ;preferably by phone,in order to establish the apparently limited service to which my membership entitles me

Ireland | 10 January 2019Very easy to use. A very informative tool.

Guernsey | 04 January 2019I am very happy with my use of findmypast.ie having been a subscriber for several years.

United Kingdom | 15 November 2018Find my past is very expensive for what it is. The interface glitches quite often which is highly frustrating. I have been a member for about three years now and only renewed because I had thought there would be a loyalty discount. I will transcribe all my data over the next few months nags then probably ditch FIND MY PAST.

Canada | 26 March 2018Great, unique UK records. World records are good but usually also available elsewhere too. Easy to use site, with a thorough search engine.

United Kingdom | 01 March 2018Found FMP useful. Only complaint is that when I notify FMP of error corrections there is, unlike some other sites eg FindaGrave, no feedback.

Ireland | 12 February 2018Quite good but also quite limited....but the monthly cancellation facility is useful!

Australia | 08 January 2018I have into Family research for over twenty years. I subscribe annually to five different research web sites. The one I turn to the most is, Findmypast. I trust the information in Findmypast much more than Ancestry. I like receiving the Findmypast newsletters and find the video information very helpful. I am often supprised by how much easier Family research is now compared to only a few years ago

United Kingdom | 04 January 2018Extremely disappointing service. Absolutely minimal information supplied for my family research. I have even been unable to bring up details of my own mother and her siblings, whose dates and background I already know. We are resident in Co. Antrim, N. Ireland. My maternal ancestors lived near Ballymoney in Co. Antrim. Do your records not include N. Ireland? I have repeatedly received the message of no record found, check spelling etc. I already entered this complaint about a year ago....to no avail or response. I certainly have no wish to subscribe again to such an unsatisfactory service and request immediate cancellation now. Sincerely, Mary Mc Mullan.

Spain | 06 December 2017No problem with the contents, perfect. The automated response to subscription queries, pathetic speed of response and unclear. Search engine is abysmal, Ancestry has a better search facility so many people use them to find the record then fmp to access it. In general, among my friends and colleagues, the customer service provided is not consistent, maybe not sufficient staffing on customer service. As a UK service it is not good enough to beat Ancestry, but the content is superior to Ancestry. What people want is the service to back it up What about organising outside local events? On the road workshops linked to generating business and genealogy problem solving? Can't remember when I last saw a TV advert for fmp. Why?

Australia | 01 December 2017Find my Past has always been my "go-to" place for accurate records of ancestors around the world. I want to be able to see the images, so I can be certain that what I am looking for is actually there. Plus I can discover information that helps me make decisions about whether that record is appropriate or not. I can't say enough about how easy to use the Hints page is, how clearly I can read my on line trees and how quickly the 'finds' update the trees. I love that there is a "maybe' slot for hints I'm not sure about - plus that the rejected ones actually stay put for future references. But MOST OF ALL, I LOVE LOVE LOVE that Find My Past NEVER puts my online trees out for everyone to read (like most other companies do). When I want them on the web, I'll put them there!!

United Kingdom | 02 August 2017A great range of records and easy to search. Some of the transcribing of census records is poor and hard to see why such ridiculous mistakes have been made. However, I have found stuff here that I can't on ancestry.

United States | 22 June 2017I was extremely pleased with the records I have discovered for my Goodbody family line. Thank you so much for providing these tremendous records.

United Kingdom | 14 April 2017I find Find My Past easy to use and I can often find a record that I couldn't find elsewhere BUT I prefer the old layout of the results page. I find this one quite tedious because of the need to keep scrolling back to the point I had reached before opening a record. It was much easier to see on the list layout.
