After I had transferred all my family, work, travel...pictures and videos from my old laptop to my external hard drive and was getting ready to copy them to my new laptop, the external hard drive stopped working. I gave a friend my external hard drive to see if he could help. He is good at IT. He did what he could but it was above his level. He referred me to FDR and explained the process. He then sent the drive to them and within days I had a new hard drive. I spoke with the representative over the phone and we discussed the cost and payed for the great work of this company. I will refer to others about this company and professional manner in how they handled the conversation over the phone.

The drive was sent to Fields but after 1 day of its arrival the tech/rep started calling and emailing incessantly. The total calls in 1 day was 7 with 9 emails in 2 days. Including an email threatening to "destroy" the drive if I did not respond. The data was recovered and returned but the threat of data destruction because i did not respond fast enough was over the top. Will find a different service in the future.

My computer crashed a few months ago. There were over 15 yrs (30 Gb files) of highly technical work on those hard drives. I had a RAID configured system with 2 hard drives that a typical store couldn't fix; said they were unfixable. So I looked around and took a chance on Fields and sent the drives to them. They were able to recover all of the files, not the software though. Still, I was ecstatic until I saw the bill for several thousand dollars.

A hard drive crashed that held a lot of old family photographs and videos. The local shop where we normally take our computers was unable to retrieve the data and said we would need to go to a company that specialized in data recovery. I searched the internet and selected Fields-Data-Recovery. They were responsive and very communicative. After shipping off the drive, they called and said they could retrieve the data and emailed a file directory which looked complete. A few days later, an external hard drive arrived with the data on it. The whole process took 7-10 days and they kept me informed at every step. I would use their services again, if needed.
