I must say that initially I was skeptical ONLY BECAUSE no one could help me. My last attempt was Fields Data Recovery. I paid the initial cost to get it looked at and then the big number came in. I wasn't even sure if it was even going to work as they couldn't give me a guaranty on the full recovery, but the data is too important to lose so we had to take the chance. Long story short, when I received the hard drive it was all there. I literally cried because they actually did it. All I have to say is thank you FDR for coming through for us. Fields Data Recovery (FDR) was able to quickly recover all of our family photos. The internal hard disk with our family photos failed. FDR paid for the disk shipments to and from their lab. The lab recovered the photos the next day after the disk arrived at the lab. Their representative kept us informed of each step in the process. Their recovery cost is comparable to the other labs that do hard disk failure data recovery. I recommend Fields Data Recovery and would use them again.

Fields Data Recovery was recommended to me by my local IT person after my 10 year old hard drive crashed and the data could not be retrieved locally. FDR was very professional and did a great job in keeping me informed throughout the retrieval process. They repaired the hard drive and was able to extract all the information off of it, and then sent the information back to me by an expedited thumb drive. I would use them again if the need arises.

Not cheap but worth it! Failed 4TB Seagate external hard drive containing valuable company data had crashed. I had sent it back to Seagate in Holland who said it was unrecoverable. After online contact Fields Data Recovery collected it FOC via DHL, advised of potential cost, diagnosed a mechanical fault ('head failure'), advised final cost, repaired it, recovered 95% of the data and sent me a brand new EHD, all within 2 weeks. I contacted Fields Data Recovery 10/29/21 regarding a Seagate external harddrive that was corrupted and would not allow access to some older business files but more importantly family photographs. I was contacted immediately with a follow-up email and then a phone call from Customer Service to explain the process further. They sent me a UPS overnite mailing label to ship the unit to thier St. Lousi facility for evaluation. I was contact within two days confirming they would be able to recover the data and and charges would be between $1250.00 and $1900.00. We had an SSD that failed with data that had not been backed up in over two years. Losing data is stressful. Sending all your data off to hopefully be recovered is hard. These guys were able to recover almost all my data, and I got it all on a new drive within a week (I was not in a big rush, or I believe it could have been faster).
