A drive on a twelve year old CNC machine failed and we were unable to locate a backup image. I was considering this company to recover my hard drive. I was not in a rush to do this, they continuously called to re-email the shipping label that expires after a certain amount of time and when I explained to British accent Steve that I didn’t have the hard drive out of my computer yet, he wanted me to send in my computer so they could take it out for me, which I was not going to do and had been told by another employee there to not send in the entire computer, I told him I needed time to retrieve my computer and he just hung up on me after rude customer service. I called him back and told him to remove my number from their system. I’m glad I went with my gut feeling and did not use this company as they seemed eager to get what they could, were unprofessional and rude.

Cost was almost $1000 which was pretty steep but I had almost a terabyte of data lost so it was still pretty worth it at the end.

My hard drive on my computer failed! I had my best geek friends try to help and they all said it was a goner. Once you start the process, their representatives keep in contact with you, helping you with each step. My drive had physically had its heads messed up and they were able to save most of my data. I do a lot of crafting and had a small fortune invested in purchased art files. They were able to transfer my data to a new portable drive and I had my data back, all in about a weeks time. It would have been shorter had I not held the process up, debating whether I should go forward with it. Boy am I glad I did. Totally great experience when I thought all was lost.

The POOR rating is given because of the cost. I had a full SanDisk 32GB card for my camera which wouldn't load into a reader anymore. I searched and found Fields-Data- Recovery. Quick and easy, send it to us and we'll tell you what it costs. Between $1050 and $950 I was told after they recd. my card. I was shocked at the cost, after having my MacMini's hard drive recovered from another source, for about the same money. Their policy says that if you don't like the price to recover, they'll send it back. The hairs on the back of my neck stood up, but I paid the $950.00 to recover the photo files anyway. I recd. my recovered files on a 32GB Stick. Thanks, but not happy with price. After the fact I researched the company on the BBB / Better Business Bureau site. You should do this first. It's my fault I paid the money. Not a SCAM, but SKETCHY!

Was able to take my son's badly abused college system's hard drive and recover all the important (and a lot of not-very-important) data from his senior thesis, etc. They had to re-build his hard-drive since it had suffered head damage, was amazed at their ability to re-construct the drive itself, and then pull meaningful data off of it. Shortly after receiving the data, was sorting thru to eliminate not-very-important stuff and managed to accidently delete some of his most important data. I called back to see if they retained his data and would be willing to send me a replacement. They did so gladly (and quickly, I might add). Son's data is in his possession once again. I had my external hard drive freeze up. Fields was prompt in sending out a UPS shipping label, and they communicated with me through the whole process. I received several update and follow up calls. The data was all recovered and sent back promptly. Great Service.

A friend's computer hard drive crashed, and without a backup, she lost 10 years' worth of personal data. I found fields-data-recovery through Google search, went to their website, and submit a service request. I received an email and a call from a representative within an hour. A prepaid shipping label was emailed to me, and I shipped the crashed hard drive that same day. I received a call 2 days later with the news that their lab could recover all of the data and was given an option on how quickly I would like to receive the recover data. I chose the 2 weeks option because it was the cheapest option. Just know that data recovery is not cheap, and you will be looking at paying at least a thousand dollars with the cheapest option. We received the recover data within a week on a USB drive, and my coworker was ecstatic and relieved to have all of her personal data. My advice is to make sure you backup your computer. But if you didn't, it will not be the end of the world, just contact fields-data-recovery, and they would be able to help you.
