Great service provided. Friendly people. A life saver for me as my external drive has ALL my Ancestry on it. Facts. Ledgers. Photos. They were able to retrieve all of it. My only issue was complete sticker shock at the cost to retrieve my data. I spent my career in Telecommunications and I am very familiar with data retrieval, and it was triple what it should have cost. But I had no choice! So, beware and ask specific questions about cost. My "personal" data retrieval was small compared to what is I would imagine professional working folks might have.

I had issues with my computer no seeing my externa HD. After bring it to Best Buy and they where not able to help and got charged a large amount, I found this data recovery service. First call to them and was speaking to a real person and not a recording. Kirk was a professional guy and withing minutes we had a plan. Checked my email and a UPS label sent for free shipping . Contacted in 2 days to let me know that all data was recovered and back up to another external hard drive. The cost was 950.00 USD but when you have 10 years a information on a 2TB HD I wanted it back!!! I will now back it up on another and keep at home. These guys are quick professional and saved me!!

I had a GREAT experience with Fields Data. They kept me informed every step of the way and had the recovered data back in my hands within two weeks. Also, the cost was incredibly reasonable for a 5TB external hard drive. Last year, I used a different company for a failed camera card. They promised 24-hours diagnostics, 2-weeks for recovery, etc. They failed on every promise: Diagnostics took 10-days, recovery was 6-weeks, zero communication, and cost an arm and a leg. Fields-data-recovery helped retrieve 100% of what was on a failed La Cie 5 TB portable hard drive. They response was timely in terms of reviewing the drive and letting me know if it was recoverable. After A Series Of Unfortunate Events my external harddrive refused to play nice. Bad news as it had over a decade's worth of work on it and my cloud backup wasn't working.
