Empowerly has been a wonderful tool to get me prepared for college applications. I think the planning and content is very useful. Having sessions with Raisa was especially useful due to her straightforwardness complimenting her ability to write and format everything.

We had a friend couple who also hire a consultant for their son. We exchanged the experience of own consultants. They complained that the help they received from their consultant was very limited. We told them what help that we received from our Consultant, Quincy Jones. He reviewed my daughter's internship essays, and he responded to our questions in a timely manner. Very few people that we know were accepted in any internship. My daughter got all the three she applied for. He gave very good comments and questions on what the readers are looking for. We are so glad that we have Quincy Jones as her consultant. We really appreciate his help and we will definite recommend him to anyone we know looking for a college consultant.

Our counselor is very attentive and tries his best to offer solutions and strategies that will help our high schooler succeed in the application process. Shahrukh Malik also takes the family input into consideration and provides constructive feedback to the essays and college selection process. We recommend him highly and find him to be very committed to his role as a college counselor. We have referred Empowerly and Shahrukh to friends and family.

It was great working with Rob. As a first generation immigrant, my parents and I did not know too much about the college application process beforehand. Rob helped us understand and work through the process. He was also very friendly and patient with me and not only helped me through the process but also assisted in finding the best fit school for me. I am excited to start my first year at the University of Pittsburgh. Overall, I really think Empowerly was a helpful resource and I highly recommend Rob as a counselor!

I was recommended Empowerly by a friend of mine in July 2022 after my daughter asked me to help her find a counselor. The process to select a counselor was really seamless and finally, my daughter finalized to work with Rob Browne. She worked with him through the year. She was a big fan of the network to help review her essays. Overall, we are really happy with the results. We would definitely be selecting Empowerly in next 4 years when my son is preparing for his college.

My counselor Ms. Lara Andersen helped me in ways that I couldn't even have dreamed about. I initially struggled before my admissions process, with a family emergency coupled with bad company affecting my grades big time. As I went on to apply as an Aerospace Engineering Major, I started with three C's in AP Stem courses, and in my junior year. It is safe to say I struggled. Prior to joining Empowerly, I even had college admission counselor who laughed and mocked me, telling me to drop courses I was getting C's in (during the middle of the year on top of that). Empowerly, and specifically Ms. Lara Andersen were basically the lifeboats to a sinking ship (me). Ms. Andersen was really easy to open up to, and she helped me through not only the college admissions process, but with myself and my load as well. I struggled with tests and test taking in general, I didn't get a single four or five on an AP Exam, and I got an SAT of 1240, which I decided to go test optional with. Ms.Andersen helped me organize my thoughts and helped me brainstorm the essays that got me into the schools I least expected. She didn't judge me or make me feel like I put myself down due to the circumstances that led to my struggling grades. Most of all she was encouraging, even in moments where I was stressed out she made it known that it was my responsibility to establish my application in a way that would represent me, and my values. She also made it known that she was not going to parent me around and that I had the responsibility to ensure that I was putting my best foot forward prior to submitting my essays. Although Empowerly as a company had some cons (Please DO NOT invest in the Ad Coms), Ms. Andersen, made it known that I was going to be supported throughout my admissions process. As for Cons, I would say the company has some problems, for example they charge and outrageous amount for Adcoms which are mock admissions reviews, but do not provide any valuable feedback. My counselor was actually able to provide me with better feedback than the AdCom reviews. Another piece of advice I would give for anyone who is thinking about joining Empowerly is that the sooner you join the better. It is important to know whether your counselor is a good fit or not before he or she help you with the college admissions process. Starting earlier would help you get an understanding in terms of how helpful your counselor is, and if they are able to take the steps to go above and beyond to help you succeed. Because truly if it wasn't for my amazing counselor, I wouldn't have gotten the offers I did from the colleges I applied to. If I recommend anything, if you faced the same struggles as me, as far as grades go and have the dreams and the will to do whatever it takes to get into your dream school, please book an appointment with Empowerly and maybe attempt to request Ms. Lara Andersen as she has the experience and the perseverance to make sure her students will end up in their dream school if they put the work and time into it. As of now, I'm committed to the UCI Samuli School of Engineering as an aerospace engineering major, and my parents couldn't be more proud, I couldn't be happier, and I have to thank my counselor for helping me figure out what I'm truly capable of.

Ronnie gives great specific advice to our son. Other places/counselors have given general guidance that haven't been helpful so specificity is super appreciated.

I think Ruth was very helpful with my essays and helped me manage my time very well. She did a very good job helping me get the points that I thought were important across in my essays while also making them interesting and good for college.

I am so lucky to have Rob as my college counselor. He has done a lot to help me get into really good universities, such as Ohio State, Virginia Tech, and Pennsylvania State University. He helped me write a personal statement, wrote a few words describing the activities I've done, and gave me loads of ideas for writing the supplemental essay. I truly enjoyed having Rob as my counselor. I believe he's the top advisor at answering essay questions accurately. I would definitely recommend having Rob as your College Counselor for those that struggle to answer the essay questions more precisely and thoroughly.

My son used Empowerly's services to land a paid software engineering internship in college at his dream startup. The counselors were helpful in helping him with technical interview prep, improve his resume, and network effectively with UCLA alumni. He wasn't able to get as much 1-on-1 support in college. We are grateful that Empowerly was able to continue helping my son after high school.
