Having bought one Z Lok Combo for when out riding I decided to buy three Jaw + units. These come with the the Z Loks. Out of the box you are informed that the default code is 000. The first unit opened without a hitch. The second unit was stuck fast. Opening the third unit I noted it was on 001, this opened straight away. Putting 000 locked the unit. Tried various combinations to try to open the second unit. Contacted Hiplok and several combi's were suggested, 007 was not one of them, which was the required number. Having set up my own numbers as per instuctions, one of the units took a good 3 minutes of faffing around to unlock it. Now another unit is jammed locking the bike to the wall. Good news theives can't get bike of wall but neither can I. If I was using this outdoors I would have to call for assistance. These products are really awful, no other word for it, with really bad QC and I now have 4 of them at £20 each!

Managed to order on kickstarter - when the D1000 finally arrived - VERY VERY IMPRESSED !!!!! Compact and Solid :) I just wish Insurance Companies would add it too their approved lists !!

Good insurance approved lock. Swift order process and swift delivery. item is good quality, however being a "Gold" rated lock it is heavy, not too bad when wearing it but a heavy thing to put in panniers etc.

Hiplock D1000 was dispatched before they said it would be. This was great as I was so looking forward to using it

D1000 Composite Lock. Good idea BUT really too small to be of any good practical use given the frame size of emtb’s. Hardly any practical opportunity to lock around frame and secure a location.

Order did not arrive. However, customer service were really responsive and apologetic when I made them aware and issued a refund straight away. While I was a bit miffed I didn’t receive the product I ordered, I was still happy with the service I received.

Best lock money can buy. I used it on my very expensive E-Bike, and was sure the D1000 lock would keep my bike safe for the time it was locked up. Purchasing, delivery and everything was fine, I just didn't realize when making the purchase, that the UK is already out of EU so the purchase was subject to import duties and VAT which made the purchase much more expensive. Although I like Hiplok products I will most likely not buy from them again if I need to pay extra and go through all that administrative hell.

Original Review (1/5): I have ordered backup keys for my lock but they never arrived. Could have been a customs issue, I have no idea. Update: The keys have arrived at my address around a year after ordering them, apparently because of a hold up in customs. I have received all of them in the great quality I was used to by Hiplok!
