After getting 3x different Rodent Proofing company quotes and dealing with different inspectors, Sergio stood out with his extensive knowledge and approachable attitude (direct communication via text and cell was a plus to discuss coverage options and more importantly, go over benefits and drawbacks for each). His experience and opinions also shed light on how efficient certain options would be over others, including some of the competition's approaches. One important fact with any good quote is "tell me what is needed" and "show me why" with photo evidence and Sergio provided a detailed online quote accompanied by a pdf with the surveyed set of photos associated with each problem found. For rodent proofing solutions, he provided 3x different coverage and pricing options via email and acceptance of "the one" was done via their online website followed by a call to schedule it soon after. It was a pretty seamless process. The day of the service, Williar and a crew of 5x total arrived in a single truck and reviewed the work to verify the correct quote. He was pleasant, approachable, knowledgeable, and supervised his crew well, while using them to survey and extend Sergio's initial take on the problem, and provide additional proofing solutions as needed. This is how a proofing company should work with a dynamic environment dealing with unpredictable rodent problems. Their procedure was also dynamic, providing proofing (wire mesh/foam) from the inside first, and when not possible, doing an external solution (cement over entry hole area with wire mesh), redoing wire-meshing over vents, covering pipe/wiring extrusion from walls, filling roofline gaps, disinfecting troubled areas, etc. Their process was methodical, providing a clean environment (floor coverings) below the attic entrance, crawlspace entrance, and garage. I provided some carpet, closet, and furniture plastic protectors while they used shoe in-house covers as needed. Removal and cleaning of the old toxic insulation, moisture seal, droppings, etc. was done using sealed plastic garbage bags, hazmat-like suits and masks, and collected before entering any living spaces in the house. They also tried to isolate any cleaning fumes to the closet where the crawlspace entrance was by closing the door. I was impressed by this process since inhaling anything related to rodent feces, etc. was toxic. Williar and crew found and covered all visible entryways around the exterior foundation, crawlspace, attic, roof, and garage. What was not directly accessible externally (e.g., area covered by a deck) was covered internally within the crawlspace. During the process, he was in direct communication with his crew, providing direction and listening to feedback, and helping with the work. He frequently was available for questions and gave me updates as they went. They meticulously cleaned all work areas and even disposed of my plastic carpet/stairs adhesive path and furniture covers. The whole big project was done in 1 day (~7 hrs) and Williar gave me a detailed summary of what was done, complete with pictures (which will be available in a day). With the house sealed, they set traps in the garage, crawlspace, and attic to catch any stragglers and will return to check in 2 weeks. Overall, Alley Cat did a phenomenal job and comes with a 3 year guarantee. Great experience with knowledgeable, friendly, people using clean, safe, work procedures.

Atekhiti arrived at the scheduled time. He listened carefully to my concerns, then went to work blocking some entry points in the downstairs bathroom. Alley Cat is a superb outfit. Called them years ago because I liked their name and was wowed. Now I called them again for an update. Easy to schedule the work with a well-organized office staff. And then the work they do is beyond belief and Comprehensive - cleaning, disinfecting, installing physical barriers in all the books and crannies. And they guarantee their work for THREE years! Way back I had to call them when. New rat surface about two years after their treatment…they showed up right away. Took care of the issue, and no extra cost to me. Highly recommending to my neighbors too.
