Sukrit Ghosh was very professional and understood the situation and needs. He has guided us (both me and spouse) what are the next steps what is needed next in the process. One issue was with greenback payment system is it doesn't use local country methods of payment... Which they can improve on, this delayed our submission by few days. Everything else, software, tools, uploading of files etc are all easy to use (note i was using windows based PC. MAC & Linux not sure). Overall rating from me is tier-1 experience.

Great experience. Our consultant was diligent and paid attention to detail. Communication was fluid and we received speedy responses. All doubts and concerns were nicely clarified and we believe the most advantageous tax strategy in our case was applied.

I’ve used Greenback for the last 2 years and will never use them again. The first year, the accountant they assigned me, while very warm, courteous and pleasant to work with, accidentally filed my taxes incorrectly, this costing me an additional USD$8,0000 which was not returned by the IRS for the better part of a year. I then asked Greenback to switch me to a more experienced accountant and they paired me with someone that they claimed was one of their most senior tax people. She was a nightmare! Aside from the fact that she was difficult to reach and communicate with, not personable (at all) and did not respond to questions in a timely manner, she waited until I had uploaded all my documents to inform me she required things in a way that was not stipulated in the Greenback portal, and was also different to how I had submitted them to Greenback the previous year. This then caused a huge delay as I had to go back and redo multiple documents so that they were to her individual specifications. She then sent me back an exorbitant tax estimate which I questioned and which was then instantly reduced by thousands of dollars because she had not done her due diligence nor upheld the Greenback promise regarding reducing taxes. And then, because I filed late, I copped a $1500 late payment penalty with the IRS. Honestly, it’s been the most stressful experience I have ever had with taxes in my life. The 2 extra stars are because I found the people in Greenback Customer Service excellent. UPDATE - as soon as I submitted this review, Greenback reached out to me with an offer to reimburse me 50% of the 2021 tax prep fees or a 100% discount on 2022. I added another star because of how they have handled this. They truly do have exceptional customer service. Unfortunately, the experiences with the actual tax accountants themselves was so poor that I won’t be working with them again. For me, it doesn’t matter how senior someone is as an accountant. If they don’t or can’t clearly communicate what they need (and how they need it) from their client and if they are unable to establish any kind of rapport or relationship, I don’t want to work with them. Thank you, Greenback, for outstanding customer service. If your accountants were as good as you, I’d stay forever and tell every other expat I know to join you as well.
