Third year working with Greenback and always easy and efficient. Seems to get easier every year, too. Have had the same accountant the past two years, and this year was the easiest yet. As long as you're prepared going in, the process is a snap.

They are experts at complex Expat Tax filing. Hence, I decided to go with them rather than with any self-filing software or a generic service.

Excellent service from Greenback. Friendly, knowledgeable and thorough. I have complete confidence in my Greenback tax preparer and find it to be fantastic value with the fees much lower than I have paid in the past to a private accountant and a more efficient service. Greenback also gives useful webinars which I have benefitted from. So glad to have found Greenback to handle my ex-pat tax returns and FBARs.

I've used Greenback for three years and they make it extremely easy to come back each year. Pricing is fair and transparent, and the tools are extremely easy to navigate. Accountant is very responsive. I do think the customer experience could be improved by a 30 minute phone call to discuss the return - why certain decisions were made - it would provide confidence that the CPA has really taken my specific situation into account. A great service at an extremely fair value and responsive CPAs. However, in my experience, if you're looking for hand-holding or a true consultative approach, you might look elsewhere (and likely pay much more).

I have been using Greenback for several years now, and have found it to be very easy to download all pertinent documents. My tax expert is always very helpful, and answers all my e-mails promptly. I am now annoyed. I have written a review. I believe more than once. This is tiresome! I am very happy with Daria who has handled my account kindly and sympathetically while I have been unwell. I continue to have problems accessing your information input and end up paying for help to do it. That does not make me happy. I wish I could just send the required information and have it put in for me which is more or less what happens. I will not fill out any more reviews.

I've been using this service for my expat taxes for 10 years. Clearly they are doing something right as I keep coming back. In this time I have had several different accountants, and some are better than others, or fit my needs and manner of working better. Even when I was not very pleased with one accountant that had been assigned to me, after writing an email to customer service, they reached out to me to understand my issues and quickly assigned another accountant. I have now been working with the same accountant for various years, and am very pleased with her competence and responsiveness. I was pleased that sensitive data does not have to be transmitted by mail, but is uploaded/downloaded from their service. Having worked with the same service, albeit different accountants, means that I do not need to repeat a lot of data and explanations every year. Their pricing is competitive. For a very simple return it may be a bit high, but their package deal for a range of forms often required by expats is good value.

The accountant that I was assigned was very friendly, helpful, and patient with me. He lead me step-by-step through everything I needed to do in order to get my US taxes taking care of.

I have lived overseas for 10 years total. Single, then married, and now, also a business owner. Filing my taxes in the US has always been stressful and frustrating. And usually ended up in having to pay late fees. I contacted no less than 5 CPA's recommended by friends who all refused to work with me. I tried Greenback to get my taxes done for 2019 and was connected with Trevor Clark. He worked quickly and transparently. I had lot's of questions and he was generous with his time in answering all of them. I appreciated how he made sure I understood everything. I had a specific issue with one client hesitant about working with me while I live overseas, and he was able to consult on the matter and make sure communication with my client was smooth and clear. Our Tax preparer, Melody, was great and she answered all of our questions quickly and without all of the usual jargon. Taxes done quickly and submitted on time, so we can kick back and forget taxes until 2021. Greenback are the way to go for any expat..
