United States | 04 March 2020This is for the Carpet Mart out 5th street in Reading Pa. As of 3 weeks ago I had a carpet installed in my hallway and down my steps. I paid to have it removed and installed. I thought everything went off ok until I went outside and seen my front porch indoor outdoor carpet was cut up from razor cuts. I called Lynn H., the sales representative for the store and told her what happened. She told me to take pictures and send them to the store. I did and then I called her back and she told me she would talk to the manager about what happened. It's clear you could see the installers cut the carpet on my porch when cutting for the size of my hallway and steps. This was done on 2-17-20 and I've called numerous times and Lynn called me back twice to let me know she was talking to the manager. I haven't heard nothing yet. I think this is very poor business actions. At least I thought I would get an honest response. I am stuck with a ripped up front porch carpet through the incompetence of their installers. I am sorry to say but I guess the Carpet Mart representatives decided not to fix their installers problem.

United States | 03 March 2020We had our carpet installed in early December. First, me and my wife loved shopping and selecting our carpet at the store. They rolled out the carpet so you truly see what you are getting and not just a little 3x3 carpet tile like you see in many other stores. However, DO NOT use their installers and if you have a problem, the store will not help you at all! After the installation of our carpet we noticed several problems: 1) They left two holes in our kitchen ceiling, no clue what they were doing upstairs when installing but we ended up with two holes in our kitchen ceiling. 2) The installers left a nail sticking out of the ground. Luckily I stepped on it first and not my pregnant wife. 3) They did not put the door on correctly in either our guest bedroom or master bedroom. Neither door closes properly. 4) The installers had a lot of leftover carpet, but the store did buy it back (I had to drive it back to the store to receive my credit). After noticing the problems I contacted the store (manager D. Parker) and received a response the very next day. I was contacted the following day by Mr. Keane and explained the situation. He told me somebody would be out within the next week to fix the problems but the week came and went and no resolution. Called Mr. Keane again and was given the same song and dance with no results once again. After over three weeks of back and forth, I finally gave up and took the leftover carpet back to the store myself (after Mr. Parker told me it would be picked up) to get my refund. Bottom line, I would buy my carpet from them again, however, I would NEVER use their installers because if/when something happens you are on your own. I have since had to hire somebody to fix these problems and I learned my lesson. Hopefully this helps somebody reading this so they won't go through what I had to go through. I wanted to post pictures, but this site will not allow me. ****Update: I found out Mr. Keene had left the company. The new man in his position contacted me after this post and we worked everything out. Thank you for the excellent customer service I had expected the first time.

The colors were exactly as expected from the photo online. I loved the rug so much that I ordered 3 more in different sizes for my entrance hall. I also received free pads for each of the rugs which was great! I would definitely order from Carpet Mart again.

The store has an enormous inventory, but Stuart narrowed down my choices to exactly what I was looking for. He listened to my preferences and my price point. He also advised me well on the selections. The entire process from selection to installation was seamless.

United States | 04 February 2020Absolute worst customer service, ordered flooring for our downstairs, credit card was charged for the full amount and paid the 35.00$ for the measurement. Scheduled the installation date, then received a call from Joe the sales person that the roll of flooring I chose is 5 feet short so we need to choose another floor covering. Went back to the store, chose a flooring that we were told is readily available and agreed to the increase of 250.00$ in price to keep the installation date. Recieved a call from Joe today telling me the new floor I chose won't be available until mid March. He also told me there is a similar flooring in stock, but the cost would be approximately 800.00$ more. I have decided to have the charge taken off my card, will go to another flooring store....one where the sales person has knowledge of what is available and doesn't increase the cost with every call.

United States | 31 January 2020So Rhoda hooked up me to get my floor installed when it was suppose to be. Thanks to her for stepping up and finding a solution. Installation on the other hand was poor. Was told by the salesman (Aaron) it would take one day, well it took three. Cost me extra money for the plumber because I had to pay for two guys instead of one to put all appliances back since my husband couldn't take anymore time off. The installers didn't put molding around the steps and the job around the fireplace has gaps. Also had gaps at the seams where two pieces of molding met. Ask if he was going to fix it and was told that was it, so we had to get stain to fix a few places so the raw wood wasn't sticking out next to the brown flooring. Had a few scratches from the guy throwing the nail gun across the floor. So the other guy said he would have to take up all the floor to replace those pieces so he used some crayon to fixed the discoloration instead. Really couldn't take more time off of work. The dust that was all over the house was awful. They should of cut pieces outside in the driveway but they used our garage. I am still trying to clean the mess up especially on the Harley. Now the flooring is a great product and I would buy product from them but wouldn't use their installation team.
