Netherlands | 22 June 2024If you like to suffer and must use them, I come with advice : 1. Don't opt-in to 'Standard Liability Shipment Protection'. Once it's time to cover damages, they correct you from even calling it an insurance. 2. If opting in, declare prices wisely. You pay extra based on your declared value, but you don't get your declared value back. 3. Don't move pricey vintage items. Vintage = depreciated used item = secondhand stuff on ebay. 4. Once items come damaged (which plenty will), take pictures from every angle. Pictures they took themselves are deemed insufficient to substantiate the claim. My case as fyi : - Declared a glass dining table for £700. - PSS charged 3.5% of declared value + 0.3% per month - Moved from London to Amsterdam (PSS721215). - Table came completely shattered. Local company declared it a total loss, took pictures and removed table. - Sub contracted RCS ('Removal Claims Service') comes in. They now value the table as £200, not £700. - All claims are also subject to an extra £100 'handling fee', as clearly stated in T&Cs. - I get offered £100, I have no table. Updating to respond : - I did locate similar items of that cost. Your 3rd party disagrees and refers to £80 side tables on ebay. - I don't need £100 extra as 'good will'. I want PSS to pay back for the damage caused to my property. - If you simply can't cover items without their receipts at point of purchase, please share that upfront.

Each person I was in contact with was great from PSS, over the phone they were very helpful. My personal contact was friendly but I felt was a bit vague with instructions and didn't offer any additional information that may come up later, which would of been helpful earlier in the process to ease stress. However each time I rang someone was easily able to help me and answer the questions in more detail. Very friendly people. Would definitely use again!
