I had a level 3 survey done on a property I'm purchasing and the report I received was very thorough and detailed and will prove to be a valuable resource for years to come. Simon, the surveyor, called me after he'd done the survey to take me through the main points he'd found and after receiving the report he also spent a good amount of time on the phone with me answering my questions, which as a first time buyer I really appreciated. Would fully recommend!

United Kingdom | 25 November 2024It was my buyer who instructed ‘Walker Dunn’ to carry out a survey on my property, I merely phoned to get a rough idea of what kind of time window I could expect the day before (I have elderly parents in hospital/or at home who need my care who live miles away). I was spoken down to like a naughty schoolchild and that I would have been told they don’t give specific times ‘when I instructed them’, I obviously pointed out I didn’t, and also didn’t appreciate being spoken to in that manner. The girl did apologise about how she came across (I suspect in anticipation of any complaint) and eventually did narrow the times down and tried to smooth things over, but why be so unhelpful and rude in the first place? Edit 26/11/24 Spoke to a lovely lady called Caroline from ‘Walker Dunn’. Two things, I don’t judge a company on when things are going right, I judge them on when things go wrong, and what they do about it, Caroline apologised on behalf of the lady concerned and on behalf of the company, the apology was genuine and sincere and I thank them for that. The survey was carried out by a gentleman called Ed, who was thorough, professional, courteous and engaging (I hope he never loses that) so with all the above in mind I’m happy to change my review as I’d recommend Ed highly.

The subsequent report following the survey was very detailed and I felt that the agent had been thorough in her inspection. I would recommend this estate agent.
