Very quick response to a potential problem. Engineer arrived within 2 hours. Cannot recall exact date.

The engineer came to service our stairlift. He was very friendly and worked very efficiently and thorough. We were very pleased with the service.

We showed a circlip which had come away and the engineer fully explained its function and fitted it back in place. He also explained options for servicing after the 1 year guarantee and we were fully satisfied with the service undertaken during his visit.

The stairlift has been fine, the after sales service not. I missed out the full service as time limited as undergoing chemo and service of a stairlift wasn't at the top of my list so missed this deadline, Stannah told me I was too late and offered some 3 star service but not what was needed. It went wrong the other day and they wanted £294 just to come out. It needed batteries so that would have cost nearly £400 but I used another it cost including new batteries £210. Not impressed Stannah but the chair has worked fine the past 3.7 years but eventually will fit new again but it won't be a stannah but only due to after sales service.

Experience with this company was very positive from the first call to arrange someone to come for a quote, to the visit from the salesman, through to the lovely young man who came to install the stairlift. Yes, I could have found a cheaper price, however, we wanted quality and the reliability of an aftersales service team, should we need them. The installer was very courteous, he explained everything about the stairlift very thoroughly and made sure that my husband, who has Alzheimer, understood how to use the stairlift safely. My mother had a Stannah stairlift fitted many years ago, it ran for years without a problem and would have probably continued for years, had my sister not decided to remove it after our mother's death. Mum had never had it serviced, it must of been well over 20 years in use. I concluded that you get what you pay for, and I was willing to pay for the quality and service of a company that has a superior reputation.

Stannah gave excellent service from order to installation. The work was done with minimum disruption and the stairlift is neat and unobtrusive. I am glad that I chose this product. My knees forgive me already, after a week of use.

From enquiry to fitting, couldn't have been easier. The two men who fitted the stair lift were efficient, mannerly and helpful.

Excellent service from start to finish. Very efficient at time of surveyor coming to do the quote. No "hard sell" - just someone who obviously took pride in what he did, knew the produce well, was experienced answered all our questions and then did not pester us for a decision. Day of fitting arrived and engineer excellent also. Had a concern a couple of days later which turned out to be not a "concern", just us. Engineer was called out and nothing was too much trouble. All Staff on phone polite and helpful and very reassuring. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Very professional in their dealings and didn't have to wait long before fitting. Very pleased as it is very easy to use and it saves me from having painful knees and legs, particularly at the end of the day. One of my better purchases.

A Stannah engineer called Stephen called at our home to complete an annual service. He did not complete the service as he needed to order two parts and said he would come back in a couple of days to complete the service and turned the chair lift off. He did not come back as promised so after two weeks I contacted Stannah to ask what was happening, and told the them that my wife had a hip replacement operation three months ago and is having struggling to walk up the stairs and the service we have received is not good enough. Two days later two engineers called with the parts and completed the service.These two engineers were excellent and completed the work that was required.

Company well organised. From initial contact, sales, installation, follow up , A1 service throughout. There are many companies who could learn a lot from you.

Did exactly as they had said. Fitting was done with no mess.

The majority of the design of the chair is very good. however, a powered switch circuit board is visible and accessible and has had to made safe using tape, by the purchaser. The company thinks is acceptable. Not good enough for a £4k purchase and twice the price of the competition at that. We went for the more expensive option for the purported quality. Disappointed.

The engineer was such a cheerful chap, he worked effectively and explained what he was doing, and advised me on future services.
