United Kingdom | 21 August 2015Being keen to get going on a new project, I was a little concerned when my machine hadn't arrived by the third day but after telephoning the company on Friday I was told, accurately, that it would be delivered on Monday as it was coming from overseas. Perhaps if that was mentioned in the details of the product, customers expectations could be managed. I was really pleased with the machine and an English instruction book was despatched immediately. I was delighted to receive the complimentary scissor set and threads too.

I was clueless as bought sewing machine as a birthday present for wife. Only slight downside was I was promised next day delivery but came two days later and nearly spoilt the surprise for my wife. Thus 4 stars instead of 5. Can't comment on the sewing machine as wife's birthday is next month so hasn't been used but checked contents to make sure everything was there and the machine looks great in red

United Kingdom | 07 August 2015I took delivery of my Décor Pro 200 only 4 days ago but so far I am very impressed with both the machine and the service I have received. I have been sewing all my life, dressmaking ( including wedding dresses ) and quilt making , so I consider myself to be fairly experienced. I am still familiarising myself with my machine, but at this moment in time it appears to be very good value for money. The Company is very helpful with a quick response to queries. I am looking forward to many happy sewing years.

United Kingdom | 05 August 2015The order facility was good, the product is good, however I did request a Saturday signed delivery and paid an extra £12 for this, but the delivery was made on a week day care of my neighbour. The £12 was not refunded and I'm now annoyed with the deception.

A special mention to the staff at hobbysew Absolute professionals and very customer orientated. THANK YOU! I'm hoping my machine last me a long time. But if it doesn't I shall definitely be buying from hobby sew. Would recommend to friends and family.

United Kingdom | 04 August 2015I would say that my experience with Hobbysew wasn't as pleasant as I expected. I ordered a Hiline S sewing machine on 25th July when it’s on a special offer. They delivered it on 28th to my workplace. I took the parcel home and I opened it on 29th evening as I was away the day before. I was from glad to disappointed because of two things: (1) it was Hiline SP instead of Hiline S (2) there was a small breakage on the cover near the Bobbin winder stopper. The package was in a good condition, so it’s not like be damaged from outside. I took a few photos and asked their online chat for advice. They said their open time is 9:00-5:00 and suggested me to call them the next day. But on their website, it said open from 9:00 - midnight. After I mentioned this point, they suggested me to call straight away. A man answered my call and I explained to him what happened. He said that my purchase of Hiline S has been upgraded to Hiline SP. He suggested me to email them the photos and try the machine, and agreed a replacement. I didn't try the machine as I didn't want to damage it further. I had a close look at the machine and worried its quality. I emailed them and asked if there were other options apart from replacement. In the late morning on 30th, I didn’t receive email or phone call from HobbySew. So I called and asked if they had received my email. I negotiated with them and they agreed that they will arrange Parcelforce to collect the machine for free and refund me. They said that Parcelforce will contact me about the collection. At lunch time on 31st, I wondered why neither Parcelforce nor Hobbysew contacted me to arrange the collection. Therefore I used the Online chat service to ask if they could check such information for me. A man called my mobile and said the person who dealt with my order was away that day and they as a chat service couldn’t do anything. This was strange! I just asked them to check if there were any detailed records about my order. After a while, a woman called me and said that the only detail they could see is an arrangement for collection with replacement. I said that it should be return rather than replacement. However she said that they couldn’t help. It’s OK. I thought they would arrange a collecting date/time with me before the collection and I just waited. At afternoon, the reception of my workplace told me that someone delivered a parcel for me. It’s another Hiline SP sewing machine! I got two unwanted sewing machines. One was at home and one was in the workplace. I emailed them immediately to ask what’s happened. At late afternoon on 3rd August, I didn’t get response from them. I didn’t know what can I do about the two machines, so I called again. They kept me waiting and listening the music on the phone for more than 5 minutes. Finally they talked to me and said they didn’t receive my second email which I was sure had sent out successfully. They tried to give me more discount for the replacement and said it's the Parcelforce service problem but I was disappointed already. Then we agreed that they collected the two machines from my workplace on 5th and refund me in full. Done smoothly this time! To be fair, their delivery was quick. Their special offer of the machine was a good bargain. I can’t comment much on the Hiline S/Hiline SP sewing machine as I didn’t really use it. However my experience shows their email service was problematic. They didn’t respond emails and I had to call them to check the progress. In addition, the website information keeps changing. Not like other websites that you can see the product trade histories. They said they have sold 1000 Hiline S machines. I wanted to check back the 8 positive comments for Hiline S but I can’t find it on their website anymore. It has a record on Facebook though. I hope they improve their services.
