March 8th, 2024 and my 2023 books aren’t completed. I got a call today asking me to upgrade my service to include HR. How about we deliver on the service you’re already contracted for? No filing extension fees (thank you), but Uncle Sam will be sure to incur their fees when the taxes are submitted. I prepaid for a year of bench service. Regret it. We’re working on a deal that could propel us forward, but no 2023 books is holding us back Find someone local that you can trust and depend on is the lesson I’m learning this tax season

Hi! Unfortunaley, I don’t know who I am dealing with. I don’t know who my bookkeeper is. I don’t know when is this going to stop. Every time there is a new bookkeeper that person doesn’t last. I don’t feel comfortable with has been done with my books. I am not confident that my books have been done correctly. I have lost trust and confidence in Bench in general. The sale ppl presented a service I thought it would be beneficial to my business. That has not happened. I have spent several thousand dollars for a service I don’t think is accurate. I am continuing to pay for a service that I don’t think the service is worth the invested made. I would like to talk to a manager.

Customer service has been higher than expected through their bookeepers. They take the time to listen and manage my concerns carefully. Recommend as a partner.

Good bookkeeping software. Great support as well. Easy to use online platform that connects with our accounts, payment platforms and bank + credit accounts. Would recommend Bench.

I have been a long-time customer of Bench, but unfortunately, the quality of service has drastically declined over the past few years. The company has become completely unresponsive, and despite having automated accounts, they still require manual uploads of everything. The service has been consistently terrible, with nothing getting done and no communication from their end. What was once a decent service has now turned into an absolute nightmare. This decline is consistent with many other reviews I’ve come across. I’m not sure what has happened to Bench, but it’s clear that it’s no longer reliable. Not recommended at all.

Do not use Bench. I purchased the Bench.co Premium plan, paid in full a year up front, and have to agree with so many other reviews about the "shocking incompetence" of this company. They cite contractual obligations as to why I can't even cancel until 60 days from the end of my contract (July 2024) and will not refund money, but have no accountability for their inability to perform contracted work. Questions go unanswered, work does not get done, they ask for the same thing over and over again despite it being uploaded. And cancelling IS a nightmare. I've read through the carefully crafted "non-responses" from Bench.co here and can assure you, they do not take the complaints seriously.

My experience with Bench staff is very good that they respond right away for your questions. Whenever I ask question, I get response same day unless it is after hour.

The main reason why I signed up for Bench Accounting is to get a year-end package that I could submit during tax filing. So, after a year's subscription and almost a month after the date that they promised to deliver it, I still have nothing. I asked for an estimated date already more than 5 times, and every time, they haven't met it. It is a very frustrating experience. And I have very little confidence that I'll get my package before the tax deadline.

Bench has literally saved me hours every single day. They handle all of my bookkeeping so I have more time with my family. Keep up the great work. Thank you!! Derek S. Johnson

Do not sign up with Bench. Their affordability and easy interface got me but a year later the numbers don’t add up, no one replies and although I linked all my accounts they continuously ask me to manually upload all kinds of docs. For all the manual work they require I can just be doing my own bookkeeping. Seriously it’s tax season and I am now going back to do a years worth of bookkeeping and am out thousands of dollars.

1 star isn't even earned. This has to be the WORST company I ever worked with. Not only do they sell you that they can do all these services, but then they don't even categorize your transactions the way you advised after they made you spend all the time categorizing it yourself when you pay them to do that for you. Then, when you attempt to reach someone, EVERYONE is magically UNAVAILABLE! Does no one work there not even in sales? The direct contact you speak to, to work your books or cancel with never attend the meetings you schedule and then to top that off, no one answers the phone, or calls you back. Did they tell you they do cash accrual books, they lied! They do not respond to you, they lie and say your items are ready to go to the next bookkeeper/accountant but then you never hear back from anyone, all the while they keep taking their fee from your account and in order to cancel you must schedule a meeting with a customer care specialist who does not attend the meeting and then flakes on your calls and emails. I literally called every number and got a voicemail every time and the last call was to sales and again VOICEMAIL! You may be making money, but only because you're stealing it from businesses who actually need help!

This is a very incompetent company. They have charged me thousands for services that they have not performed. I have used them for almost a year. I have tried to cancel them and they keep charging me. When you call, no one answers in any department. The voice mail states that they will call you back with in 1 business day. My rep (Benjamin) makes appointments and will not hold the appointment time. You sit there and wait for them and they never call.

They lied to me. I was told I could put my account on hold any time I needed to as they were very expensive. In the middle of doing my books my husband passed away suddenly. He was the main laborer in my business. Now suddenly I have much less income, and funeral expenses to cover and now BENCH ACCOUNTING is sending me threatening emails about my severely delinquent account after just two months! 2300 left to pay and I have nothing to show for the thousands I already paid.
