United States | 20 July 2022PROS- Books are done without me having to figure everything out. It's mostly automated although there is some manual involvement. Charts are useful but would like them to be more robust. Year end financial package is great and very helpful. CONS- Takes a really long time to get your completed month's books. It's usually two months after the month has ended and has even been as long as three months. So you don't get May's results until mid-July. Website and app are still very buggy and not as full featured as they could be. Would like ability to chart data in a way that's more useful.

Accounting isn’t my strong suit so having experts handling my books and accounts with feedback and clear charts / progress tracking is great!

United States | 24 June 2022The service and tax service are not worth one tenth of what they charge. Their services that are supposed to auto-connect to your credit card and bank accounts almost never work. They don't process your business expenses correctly and their taxfyle service offers no help with managing deductions, let alone finding deductions. They want you to search for and upload everything, and do the work for them. Their website is awful, and it is nearly impossible to get what you need out of it. Example, Do you want the data that you've uploaded to send to someone else to to the work correctly? Good luck. For $4000 a year, it's a rip off.

United States | 11 June 2022Extremely disorganized and not motivated. The idea works, works well in fact. However, poorly executed. Our bookkeeper is unavailable and unresponsive. I have spent hours giving the bookkeeper all the info they need, only to get asked the same exact info again and again. Duplicate requests and any reason to shift the responsibility to us to delay our books.

Taiwan | 11 June 2022I wanted to seek a bookkeeping service and I tried Bench. they have a big technical issues and I was even unable to get access my Bench account. When someone scheduled a time for the demo, he told me he would not be available in a few hours and asked me to reschedule for the next day. The next day, he was unavailable again but asked another co-worker to have a zoom meeting with me. At that time, I had some difficulties linking with the business account (to try their bookkeeping). Finally, it's still able to link with the business account. he said another co-worker who missed my appointment would have a meeting with me yesterday at 8am. he is unavailable again but he NEVER informs me that another co-worker who didn't meet before would talk with me. Okay Finally we met but there are technical issues again and she is unable to get access to my book to show the service. She asked me to reschedule a time for the next day at 8am and she would be able to show me. half-hour later, she told me she got access and asked if I wanted to meet at that moment. However I had to do something and asked her to talk with me the next day at 8am. When I was trying to log in to the account yesterday, I'm not sure why I'm unable to log in even though she tried to assist a bit. Well it TOTALLY wastes of my time!!! Because of this, I checked out some of their feedback. I'm really thankful that I didn't use their rubbish service

United States | 09 June 2022I am giving them two stars in my initial review, but it is borderline and on the precipice of dropping to one. Just like many of the other negative reviews, I also paid for Bench to finish my historical books (2021 in my case). I am nearly three months in, and there's no sign of those ever getting completed. I ask for updates weekly, and they either ask for an additional document that is not relevant to the time period, or ask for something I've sent in multiple times before, or tell me they are working on it still. In addition, they have not done the books for the past two months (April and May). Am I supposed to tell them to do their job repeatedly to get something done? I simply don't understand why they have so many good reviews based on my experiences so far.
