United Kingdom | 10 January 2025Recently bought a bike for my son and foolishly signed up for the free insurance which came with it. This turned out only to be a 2-week introductory. Fine, I thought, I have our bikes covered with house insurance. However, I was soon bombarded with emails and unsolicited phonecalls on a daily basis so much so that I had to block their number and report it. Here's a hint, if a person does not engage with your email or answer the phone to you, they are not interested in your product. Having read some of the reviews below that state the cost of insurance climbs sharply after the first year, I'm content with my decision.

United Kingdom | 08 January 2025Don't bother insuring with CyclePlan When my double locked (with angle grind resistant lock) bike was stolen from my property I was gutted, but thought I had a comprehensive insurance policy that would cover it. I was wrong. CyclePlan did everything they could to get out of covering it, despite me following the instructions in the policy. I don't know who the bigger crooks are, the thieves or the insurance companies that sell you these policies. When I do eventually save up for a new bike (which will take me months) I will not be insuring it with CyclePlan.

United States | 28 December 2024Renewal was an increase on previous year. Price comparison website showed better deal elsewhere, which turned out to be half the price. When will these people ever learn that customer retention is just as important as new business?

United Kingdom | 12 December 2024I've been with Cycleplan for 10 years and have generally been happy with the company. Pros: - When my bike was stolen, it was dealt with and compensated with minimum fuss. - The Heads of Terms are very clear. - Responsive customer service team Cons - Automatic annual renewals at quite high increases - Having to contact customer services to stop automatic renewals. - High fees (equivalent to a year of policy) for any amendments. - Can't/Aren't willing to match Cycleplan prices founded on comparison sites.

United States | 27 November 2024Would love to give 0 stars if I could. Spent over a month deliberating my claim of my bike stolen from my balcony (locked with a silver-grade U-lock) and finally got back to me that they would not compensate me based on a small technicality. Customer service was slow and unhelpful, no refund was given or anything. I'm out 65quid, my bike is stolen, and there is nothing I can do. This insurance company is nothing but a legal scam.

United Kingdom | 16 November 2024Renewal was too expensive. You claim you won't be beaten on price and got beaten by yourself after just 3min googling. The online platform is a joke with minimum handling options: everything that's worth doing ends up having to be done through customer service.

United Kingdom | 14 November 2024I was a customer for around 7 years, with a premium of £9 a year. I moved country so I tried to cancel and suddenly they want to charge a £30 cancellation fee (more than 3 years worth of premiums). For anyone wondering, just email them with intention to stop automatic payments and then they don’t charge you this ridiculous cancellation fee. Total joke and a great way to ruin what was an otherwise fine experience.
