Good cover for a reasonable price. The policy covers everything I require at a fair price. Easy to navigate website too. All sorted in a few minutes.

Easy process

Cover at the right price. Being a CyclePlan customer previously I knew the product was right for me. However the 60% discount also made the price attractive also and made it an easy switch from my current provider who had just put their prices up. As long as the prices stay low I’m for sure to renew. With reference the product. You are able to specify just what you need and the policy covers. Where previously covered by CyclePlan I was unfortunate enough to be subject to a theft of my e-bike. CoverPlans claims process however was simple to follow and I Just needed to provide the necessary proofs and a payout was with me so I could replace what was stolen and get me back out on the trails.

The policy that i bought ticked all of the boxes and Victoria my agent was excellent and went over all of my questions very thoroughly. The real bonus was the very competitive cost of the very comprehensive policy

If you insure your property with this company, be aware that you will not receive compensation for loss or damage. The only reasonable solution that gives any hope of recovering compensation is to file a lawsuit against them.

Given that more and more councils are installing metal bike hangars in residential streets to encourage residents to cycle by having the opportunity to store their bikes safely (locked inside, and with an outside lock), I find it really bizzare that Cycleplan hasn't moved with the times and that its insurance doesn't cover this. Others do (ETA or Bikmo for ex). As a result, I've had to cancel this insurance (which, while Cycleplan says is reimbursed proportionately, that is, minus a £30 cancel fee, i.e. almost nothing is reimbursed). So I do not recommend.

Simple set up process

I am very wary of companies who invite you to give them feedback immediately after opening a new policy. Of course it’s going to be five stars as they have every incentive to make that part of the process easy. I was looking for bike insurance today and checked out cycle plan and the first few feedbacks are all positive but related only to the policy buying process. I then came to the first negative review and no surprises it was from someone making a claim and getting nowhere! I shall be going elsewhere, please dont be fooled by five star feedback on peoples experience of buying policies, search out the claims instead…I expect this review will be taken down soon!
