Do not buy online. Harvey norman has sent my cellphone I have purchased on economy post. They have directly breached NZ post terms and their own statements on their website. From what I understand this is a fair trading act issue. This is now regarded by NZ post as a prohibited item as the value is over $250. No cover for damage, loss, anything. What company sends any package economy nowadays? Especially an expensive item from a large company? I paid for shipping and NEVER would have allowed this if it was made clear. I ordered over a week ago and it still hasn't arrived.... Not acceptable

Went into Harvey Norman's to buy a Tablet and charging station. I was served by 3 different staff members all unsure if the tablet was compatible with the charging station. Eventually one of the staff members went away and brought back another tablet and assured me and my daughter that this one was compatible. We left the shop after being there for 45 minutes happy with my purchase. At home I plugged the charging station in and popped the tablet on to charge. I had read the instructions and it said two lights should show if it is charging correctly only one light was on the other was red. I tried several ways of moving the tablet over the charger but nothing was happening so I returned to Harvey Norman's with my tablet and charging station. I went to the tech customer service desk and a staff member proceeded to do the same thing I did move the tablet over the charging station I asked if he had another one but he said that the tablet was not compatible with the charger and they had no tablets in their store that were. He gave me a credit for the cost of the charging station. I left the store deflated and confused rang my daughter told her she was equally angry as the information we were told when purchasing these products was incorrect. I decided to email Harvey Norman's Dunedin with my complaint the tech manager phoned me and said he overheard his staff telling me and my daughter that they were not compatible this is not true as I would not have purchased the charger and my daughter also agreed what he said was untrue. It is obvious that the staff were not up to speed with compatibility of tablets and chargers as when I returned to Harvey Norman's the young guy also plugged it all in as I did at home. The manager denied this and stuck up for his staff and said it was my fault. I found the manager well rehearsed in his reply to me regarding my issue and there was no way that he was going to admit his staff made the error. My daughter and I were both there, heard the same things and agree that Harvey Norman's Dunedin made the error. I will not buy anymore technology devices from Harvey Norman's.

I got bad experience from Harvey Norman,Te Rapa.Hamilton i bought new Leather couch with leather protection product Now I want to sell or gift someone however they won’t agree to transfer the product protection or warranty.They are entirely different from the time of purchase and the time of need so I never recommend Harvey Norman,Te Rapa.Hamilton.

I was at Harvey Norman electrical in botany on Tuesday they assisted me with setting up my I watch.. I’m in my 60’s and not very technical.. they even stayed after hours until they finished.. I would like to thank Shandar(IT specialist) sorry if I misspelled your name but you know who you are.. The wonderful store manager and the others in store that helped me.. I really appreciated your help and have told all my friends., thank you again and merry Christmas

We bought this brand new HISENSE fridge and we found an inferior quality product, to the point that the service people is saying that a display that starts bending and un-gluing at the second day of use is normal, that's not normal on a brand new appliance and nobody should be ok with that kind of poorly built appliance, on top of that the service guy wants to charge me the equivalent to 5 hours of work for just going to see the appliance, I am not paying that because i believe that this is a defect and this should be covered by the guarantee, should I know that i was gonna be charged that amount of money for nothing i wouldn't have accepted. When i went to harvey norman the guy told me "oh, something similar happened to ours and i had yo try re-glue it by pressing it plenty of times" that clearly ahows that it's not something that should happen and that they were trying to "fix" it, you shouldn't have to be "fixing" a new appliance, this is a poorly built product and that's all to it, i am not paying anything and if someone has to be paying anything would be harvey norman or hisense. This is a honest review and beware of this kind of companies. In the pictures you can see how bent the display is, even after being trying to flatten it every single time I open the fridge. Thwy knpw this is not normal, everybody can tell that this is not an expected thing to happen, it's i credible that they are acually trying to say that this is normal and that they even want me to pay for the service guy to come and see the same pictures that i sent and say "yeah this is fine".

2/9/22 bought a lounge chair from Harvey Norman Mt Wellington, was told verbally and on the order form that was emailed to me, that the chair would be ready in 10-12 weeks. 25.11.22 rang to find out when we could pick chair up. Wasn’t ready . Was told it would be ready next week. Rang next week was told it would be 2 more weeks. After 2 weeks passed, rang again still not ready. Was told it would be in on 16.12.22. Wasn’t. Finally got a call today 21.12.22 saying it was ready, but couldn’t be delivered till 24/12.22. Needless to say am sick of the lies/bad service and won’t be going back to Harvey Norman again

Hamilton Harvey Norman Branch. Bought two coughes, last week from Te rapa branch.. It was delivered on the 12/12/22 with one of the leg broken. Delivery boys said that they will send someone to fix ...please, next time can you becareful in how you store and transport people's properties..

Brought a 1100 belling oven, arrived with small damage but Harvey fixed it very quickly, great, then after a few weeks water marks under top glass but Harvey not interested ,told it was our fault, but top has not been properly sealed, belling oven is CRAP, DONT BUY BELLING, OVEN IS RUBBISH,

purchased a $800 Chrome book online and collected from Harvey Norman Henderson Branch. Returned the next day as faulty. Arrogant and rude Indian store owner, Simran D refused to give refund and accused me of changing my mind even though goods were faulty. Unpleasant exchange and only rectified after i made a complaint to head office. I will never make another purchase from a harvey norman store after this alwful experience.

Wanted to buy a flatscreen TV from HN but the shipping was going to cost $89. I live 4km from their store. Ended up purchasing from Dick Smith which was free shipping and had a 5 yr extended product care warranty which was great.

Purchased some keyboards and a mouse online on seperate occasions during the lockdown, were sent from HarveyNorman PUKEKOHE. All were well packed and shipped immediately. Also purchased a toaster from in store recently, it faulted a few months in, took it in store and replaced no problem

Brought a big screen,LG smart tv for big money from Harvey Norman. Packed up after six years. Went back to them and was told that was about as long as they last for. Could not be repaired. Worked out it cost around $12 a week to watch. NEVER again.

When you spend $5000 of your hard earned money on a lounge suit with these sort of shape, you expect quality and service, not the rubbish that Hamilton branch is flicking off and ignoring request for solutions. Had to wait 3 months for the long suit. It had NO springs! This was realised 2 years after purchase when we started to SINK into the chairs. After investigation it was reveild that the suit was made of low grade thin wood and a rubber foam inner - ONLY. No springs. Harvey normans refused to discuss or help with a solution. $5000 now in landfill. Be prepared to be ripped-off. A name no-longer means anything!

It was a pleasant and successful experience and I left, a very satisfied customer. Keep up the good work . I have always had good experiences each time . Thank you
