New Zealand | 17 April 2018I have purchased a blender from them, it was broken after a week. The staffs were hesitant for replacement. When I asked for a refund or I want to talk to the store manager, they replaced the blender. Luckily it's working well afterwards. :)

New Zealand | 24 March 2018Harvey Norman shop in Te Aro, Wellington - really bad experience with parking, never anymore. Avoid that shop! Parking is so small, that they have a guard permanently on site, he "hunts" on customers! I parked, brought my son across the street, (a lot of traffic and no lights), gave him some money - all together what? -some 3 minutes? Crossing street back I see a guy doing something to my car. I ask him what's he is doing. He was putting a paper on my window. I explained him that I now go to the shop, and asked if I come back - from the Harvey Norman shop, is it still ok with the parking? He said yes. I went in and out WITH PURCHASE! Discovered my car with block on the wheel and had to pay 150 dollar fine. Tried to get shop staff involved, to prove that I've been to the shop and even actually bought something ! But parking is operated by othe company. And doesn't belongs to HN apparently. It's for their customers, but they have no say in disputes questions. Ha, never anymore, Harvey Norman. 100 m further is Noël Lemming with normal large parking, with no crazy guards.

New Zealand | 25 January 2018On Boxing day I ordered the HP M277dw Colour LaserJet Pro All-in-One Printer at the Lower Hutt Store. But before that i called the Rangitikei Street Harvey Norman and inquired about the printer. They said that they had 2 printers available for purchase. Within minutes I proceeded to Lower Hutt Harvey Norman and made my purchase informing them about the stock available at Rangitikei St. The sales person told me it will be 3 weeks before the item will be brought to Lower Hutt which is weird because this is Palmerston North to Lower Hutt we are talking about. I also requested them to secure the printer I purchased. In 3 weeks, i called them 3 times and they kept saying we will call you, but i never received a call. finally near the 4th week i called Harvey Norman lower hutt and spoke to a sales man and he made several phone calls only for me to find out that the printer i had purchase at the Rangitikei St had been sold to someone else. I was so annoyed. first of all you sit on an order and do nothing to secure it. secondly you do not call your customer at all. Should your customers chase you or should you chase your customers? Thirdly at the eleventh hour when i have made a full purchase you tell me that you don't have stock. But how can that be? I purchased the printer from Rangitikei St. Why did Harvey Norman do a double sale. They have inventory applications and i recall the sales person selecting the one from Rangitikei St and generating the invoice. Why was my printer sold to someone else after 26th of December? Why are your systems not synchronized to display correct inventory? In the same week ie around 26th December there was another store selling the same item for 20$ more but i chose to bring my purchase to you because you are a large organization and value your customers. Well i do not believe that is true at all. All you did was take my money, sit on it for 3 weeks and give me the run around. They offered me a display piece for around $50 less which annoyed me even further. I took a refund. This is what i have to say to you Harvey Norman. In my lifetime i will never purchase another item from your store again.

New Zealand | 31 December 2017I went to look for a converter on this store and I found that the price is steep and I do not have many stuffs to choose. A standard converter costs more than $20.00 and that is just crazy. The good side is that this store has so many appliances that you can choose from, especially for a small city like Christchurch, this is beyond my imagination

New Zealand | 24 April 2017Baffles me as to how large international companies like Harvey Normans can get away with Price Gouging/discrimination in this day and age!!! NZ seems the the last place on earth that protects the consumer against price discrimination, like other countries do. Product we looked at purchasing was a staggering 170% more than the same item from Harvey Normans in Australia and an even more eye watering 320% more than the same item from another seller in the UK. Even paying a Retail price, including origin taxes, freight and NZ import taxes we could still get the same item for between $865 - $1533 less than the NZ price. Shop around, there is no need to pay these prices, you can order from overseas and get good quality items for a fraction of the price!!
