United States | 11 December 2024DECEPTIVE. Do not do buisness with this company, they charge you a core on a used engine and then charge more for the return then the core charge. They do not want the cores anyway as they are not a rebuilder. The products are not correctly placed on pallets for shipping causing damage. The communication proccess is also appalling and will completely waste your time. Look elsewhere before using these clowns.

United States | 07 December 2024We run a mechanic shop in Hopkins SC. Bought a motor for a 2000 Mirage early this year from these guys. First, shipping was terrible. It took over a month to receive it. Second, a cam gear was bent and the throttle body were bent up. Which granted no buying a used motor a throttle body usually doesn't even come on it unless their too lazy to take it off but if it's on there and shows the kind of denting that one did it shows impact and hard impact where the motor in general is concerned. So if course we call them and they patch us through to someone I believe from the shop they had it delivered from and guy said cool I'll go ahead and make it so the warranty is active so we can get this corrected. So he proceeds to tell us 1 use the old throttle body off the old motor. Take the old cam gear and swap it out for the broken on and put all new timing on it even though with any motor purchases even remained TIMING is supposed to be included under warranty. It's part of the block. So he was supposed to credit money back to the shop owners account. I am 98 percent positive that has not happened. He was asked them ok so what of down the line this lady starts having issues with this motor because something was damaged internally whenever that came gear got busted and the throttle body got bent. He proclaims oh no we stand behind our merchandise we'll do what needs to be done to make it good. Cool. NOW maybe 6 months later guess what. Their motor only has 10 pounds of pressure on cylinder 1 and they refuse to warranty the motor. Claiming the motors warranty was not "activated" within 10 business days of delivery. A warranty in writing is a warranty period and of all the years we've done this with LEGITIMATE businesses we've never ran into a problem like this. Even the only issue we've had with anyone was a used transmission they refunded the customers money for claiming it had been sent back when we all knew the transmission was in his car and he was driving it. So I mean even THEY gave the man his money back. But these scam artists want to play like this is a game when this is a customers money involved here. Not just our time spent working on it. This place is a ripe off. Yeah they'll send you something. Don't expect it to work long. Stay as local as possible people. We will never do business with them again.

United States | 06 December 2024HORRIBLE company do not trust them at all. I called to ask about a transmission and it was like i was bothering them. After reading the reviews here it makes more sense. These people need to be put out of business. SCAM ARTISTS FOR SURE

United States | 02 October 2024Received my engine with several broken bolts in the cylinder heads and other places. The engine was a rust bucket with spray paint over it. My mechanic, after looking it over refused to put it in my truck. I called and told them, sent pictures, and wanted a refund, and they told me to go F myself basically. Stay far, far away from these people.

United States | 30 September 2024I cancelled an order within 2 days of purchase. Was charged 25% restocking fee knowing that the engine had not been pulled or shipped. The really bad thing is they charged 25% of total bill which $450 was a core charge to return old engine. Contacted EATW and was told the refund had already been processed and there was nothing they could do. Complete SCAM! You have been warned about this company.

United States | 24 September 2024I bought a transmission from them with promise that it was working. Installed it and it is missing second gear. They won't address the issue at all. Says it's wasn't installed in 10 days so you have no warranty and it's your issue.

United States | 25 July 2024I purchased a 2005 toyota celica engine nov 29, 2023 the engine was supposed to be low mileage, their claim of 5/50,000 is just so as to recieve your money. the engine failed after 8,000 miles with a hole in the side of the block. called company to report claim but they say since i did not register the engine i would not be helped in this manner. i was not notified of this but from a reputable company i would have expected more, however there response shows what type of people you deal with they like your money but do not like to back up what they sell

United States | 13 June 2024DO NOT BUY AN ENGINE FROM THESE PEOPLE. Engine came to me broken; they told me I broke it when I never even touched it. They don't help and have had legal issues in the past. STAY AWAY FROM THEM.

United States | 12 June 2024Ordered an engine for my truck, showed up late, apon inspection we found 10 bolts broken off in the heads and block in several places. The head gasket were rotted and the block was painted over rust. My mechanic wouldn't even install it in my truck. I filed a complaint with warranty and was denied. Run don't walk away from these people. I will be filing against these people.

United States | 24 May 2024Bought engine, received almost a month later, installed engine in about 4 days, did all required work to fulfill warranty requirements, drove for 10 days, engine exhaust cam broke and crashed valves and blew the head gasket all while driving 60 mph. Spoke with EATW multiple times for a month and says NO WARRANTY. Heat tabs are melted. Duh.

United States | 18 April 2024These people are obviously scammers. They will not let you pay on PayPal. They will not answer your reasonable questions about their engines. They just want your money.

United States | 13 April 2024Engine & Transmission world is a "COMPLETE SCAM" I paid $3500 for a engine. It took a month to get. After many calls i finally recieved. The shop that was fixing my car, did a pre check before installing engine. It turn out the engine had no compression, valve cover was glued, and many other issues. the engine was defective. I contacted E&T world and gave me round around for 2 months. Never refunded or replaced engine. I was ripped off and nothing can be done. I search for their facility, haven't located address. Warning to all this is a scam.

United States | 05 April 2024I ordered a used engine and paid in full including the "so -called" core charge. After a month of calling and checking to see when the the engine would be shipped, they replied another week. So finally it shipped and another week later it finally showed. After the engine was installed, we started trying to get a return address for the core to be sent to. After another month of calls to them, they stopped taking my calls and apparently the "core charge " is part of the price of the engine. I would like to sue them on principal if nothing else, they suck!! Don't buy anything from them, they are crooked!

United States | 14 March 2024I purchased a transmission less than a year ago for my 2013 nissan sentra and as of now still falls under the 1 yr warranty. The transmission was a piece of junk. The vehicle ran fine for 2 weeks and broke down. After replacing a few parts and seeing the same problem with the vehicle jerking and pulling when accelerating finally decided to drove it to a transmission shop where I was told the transmission was bad. I been trying to contact this company's claim department and Kimberly Pones appears to be playing games with me and not wanting to do anything to help out. I requested to talk to her superiors and 2 seconds later the phone hang up. I have tried several times now and she still playing games. At this point I believe this company scammed me. Any advice? I also searched google and there appears to be a legal case from years ago against this company with others. I am trying to get a least half my money back. Any advice helps tremendously. Thanks.

United States | 19 February 2024Bought an engine. My mechanic had a motorcycle accident then dealt with covid before getting the opportunity to install the engine. Upon engine installation, when he turned the crank by hand he noticed the engine would not turn. After further evaluation and taking pics inside cylinder found the engine timing is off and the pistons are hitting the valves. These folks refuse to talk to me or my mechanic. Very poor customer service. I will not be using them any longer and this is the 3rd engine I have bought from them

United States | 25 January 2024Fraudulent company. I purchased an engine for $9K. We couldn't get engine to work. They stalled for several months trying to find a replacement but nothing was available so they said they would refund my money. After a month of waiting and calling for the refund. They told me they wouldn't take my calls anymore. COMPLETE SCAM. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

United States | 23 January 2024I placed an order on 12/29/23 and needed to contact CS to update the delivery address. I did so within minutes of placing my order. Received an email with the the correct shipping address and I confirmed the accuracy. I assumed that everything was corrected. On 1/10/24, the BOL was sent to the shipping company and the transmission was delivered. Unfortunately, to the wrong address, states away. I contact CS and get the run around. I am told I can pay for them to pick it up and reship it (shipping is free initially) or I can return it minus a 25% restocking fee and 2 freights. I should not have to pay for their mistake. They have no interest in correcting their error and the person I am communicating with the Shipping/Tracking Manager. His email responses are unclear, not pertinent and non helpful. My company has ordered 5 transmissions in the last 2 months and this is the only one with an issue and the lack of interest in fixing their wrong is astounding.

United States | 18 January 2024Horrible products and service. We got a used engine for a Ford Ranger from E&TW and it blew up a little over a year later. Rods came lose and the pan had dents from the inside out. When submitting a warranty claim, they give you 5 days to collect all the information they need or they void your warranty altogether. We tried to dispute submitting our information passed the 5 days and spent a month and a half wasting time with empty promises of following up with management. Never got an email saying it was voided or a phone call like they promised. Kim refused to let me speak to management and hung up on me because I asked. I'm sure it was to protect her job because she was useless in the entire process.
