When I discovered Engine and Transmission world on the net., I found the engine I needed, and got a quote in just a few minutes. The people in customer service were great, and I received my engine in less than 10 days, delivered right to my garage door. The engine was clean and painted with factory colors and it performs, like new, and with a 3 year warranty I was glad to know if the engine failed, another engine would be sent to me. The motor I order from Engine and Transmission World was defective upon installation. I have contacted them several times with absolutely no results. I am very dissatisfied with the product and especially the service after the sale. It has gotten so bad I have had to get the buyer protection from the credit card I used to purchase the engine involved with trying to get something done about the fraudulent warranty they provided with the motor. At this point I would not recommend any purchases from this company, they have made no effort what so ever to resolve the issue. Take your business elsewhere.

Very disappointed!. Could not get engine to run properly. Bad head gaskets. Had to put back in shop with the new motor. Felt like I wasted my money time and effort purchasing from you. Will not recommend your company

Good communication as the order was prepared. Arrived as promised and installed. Bump when found it had no compression on 4 cylinders, a ton of work for no gain. No way it was tested before shipped. I should have known when I say it was painted right over grease and oil ran from head down to pan. Called and got immediate replacement, honored warranty without question. New one arrived days after I pulled the first one out, more work. New one love led great and this time I tested compression before installing. All good. Noticed the overheat tab is on back of motor so no way I can get pic of it for future warranty claims, but don't expect I will need to. After putting in, pulling out, putting in another, 6 weeks later on am done and it is good. Satisfied customer because it runs and they stood behind the warranty. Wish the quality control was better

I would definitely give them a shot again in the future. They helped me in saving my loads of bucks and because of them my Ford is hitting the highway again. Cheers!

I just wanted to thank you for the engine I received for my 2002 Subaru Forester. The timing belt had broke in my original engine - at 157,000 miles, but all the external parts that needed to be moved onto the replacement engine were in functional condition. The engine came and the oil pan was slightly damaged - but the oil pan on my existing Forester was fine so the mechanic just swapped it. Shipping was fast and arrived before the expected date - it was great to get my Forester back on the road just before the snow fall here in Iowa...I was missing the heated seats and all wheel-drive!

i ordererd a motor from them it was faulty when installed into my vehicle and they didnt uphold the guarantee so i was screwed out of $1552 for the motor and $1100 for the installation i had to turn around and buy a crate motor from advance that cost $2556 and then pay and additional $800 to have that motor installed and the junk one from engine and transmission world taken out they are a joke on the guarantee they offer you and when i tried getting a refund the guy was rude and hung up on me more than once you are better off getting a motor from a junkyard if you ask me

Engine took a while to get here but seems well worth the wait

got a motor now the head gaskets leaking only has 300 miles on it. The warranty does not cover head gaskets for any gaskets but on the website says everything is pressure test what a joke now they want me to pull the engine to send me another one that will probably have the same problem

I purchased this engine based on the three year parts and labor warranty. The extremely low mileage, considering my car is fourteen years old. The picture of the engine provided was clean and packaged on a pallet. The free delivery to the mechanics shop went without any problems. The engine delivered was exactly like the picture. Most importantly, the engine runs like new. I'm well pleased

I was skeptical at first with all the scams out there, and spending that kind of money without knowing what I was going to receive, but I received the motor in about a month from the time I ordered it and it runs great, the only thing I'm a little confused on is they say the motor has 68,000 miles on it, but how do I know that, I had to send a picture of my odometer with the actual mileage this motor was going to replace, so I guess you just have to take there word on it. I was told there was a warranty also but when I called to see If they would email me a printable warranty, no one from the warranty dept.(Scott) would return my calls. so really don't know exactly what the warranty covers, It says 3yrs or 36,000 miles, but on what? So was a little disappointed that the warranty Dept. didn't return my calls, but was satisfied with the motor.

I received my engine quickly and in great shape. They were very professional when I called. Would use them again.

I ordered an engine with just over 57 thousand miles on it from Engine and Transmission World (ETW). All seemed to be good. I received my engine in the time frame that was stated by ETW. When the engine arrived at the shop I was impressed. It was clean, painted. shrink wrapped and on a pallet. The mechanic calls me the next day, after the engine has been installed, to let me know there were no valve cover gaskets on the engine (1 hour job). Later that day he calls to tell me there is no oil pan gasket on the engine (4 hour job). The following day he calls to tell me the head gasket is leaking (16 hour job). When I purchased the engine, ETW did not disclose that all of the gaskets need to be replaced before install. After contacting them they explained that there should have been a tag on the engine, when delivered, that stated the work needing to be done before install. Unfortunately the tag also had the delivery info on it, which was face up when delivered, so it was not noticed by my mechanic and was discarded. The gaskets had been removed in the sludge checking process by ETW and the parts were reinstalled without even the old gaskets. The point of all of this is that all of the information on the tag should have been disclosed before purchase and not found out after the engine is installed. The only thing stated before purchase is that the thermostat need to be replaced. Engine-$1,100/install-$800/valve cover gaskets-$75/oil pan gasket-$300/head gaskets-$1,200= $3,475. Knowing what needed to be replaced before install "PRICELESS" I now have 1000 miles on the engine and it seems to bee ok. A perfect example of buyer beware!!!

3 weeks late. at one point the system stated the engine would arrive on January 30th 1970 44 years ago

Took an entire month to recive motor. Customer service was very poor very rude when my wife called for an update on the motor. I should have done more research I was in need of the motor cheap as possible because I was trading the truck off. should have searched a little longer found same motor with less miles for 500 dollars less much closer to my location and would have recieved 3 weeks sooner. I would not recommend purchasing from engine and transmission world to anyone I know
