Complete scam company, scam 3rd party buyer and scam transport company. We ordered an engine that the transport company "lost" for 2 weeks. E&TW still took our money the day we ordered the engine. No one could give an answer, no tracking, customer service is non existent. When I finally requested to speak to a supervisor, the rep told didn't have one. Didn't have a boss either. Once the engine was found, the transport company had it sitting in Salt Lake City for 5 days, with no explanation of why. Once we received the engine, it was an absolute piece of junk. Unusable. We filed a credit card fraud claim which resulted in the owner of the transport company screaming at me, how dare I file a claim. Took 2 weeks to finally have the piece of junk removed from our property. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!

Would not recommend at all. Money is taken from the account within 24 hours, but as you request information- like tracking, you are given crumbs…. Delay is trucking. Eventually all my calls sit in a que and go unanswered for 30+ min. Tried getting to speak to a manager, without success. A file has been claimed for fraud against this company with my banking institution.

The engine arrived with a broken valve cover, broken vvt solenoids, broken camshaft sensors, broken coolant hoses and fittings feeding and returning from the turbos. We ordered the engine on July 25th. At that time we were told the engine would arrive to WA in 7-10 days and the engine would receive a thorough QA/QC inspection prior to shipping including running the engine on a stand. After the 7-10 days passed we checked in weekly for updates on the status of shipping. We were given a variety of excuses, including extra time needed for QA/QC and an issue with your shipping company going out of business. The engine arrived on August 28th - over one month after we ordered it. That very day we had called for an update and were told the engine would be shipping soon?! After the shipping delay we had to wait for the shop time to free up for our mechanic to install the engine. The mechanic called and said it would have been impossible to run the engine on a stand prior to shipping with all of the broken parts on the engine. He further stated that the engine was properly crated and well wrapped and that it was very obvious the damage had occurred PRIOR to shipping.

1st the price was reduced $100 and then there was another $100 added to the core charge. That got cleared up and when I was apprised there would be an additional $150 for delivery, I chose to cancel the order. The item was never taken out of stock, not shipped. Yet they deducted $333.50 from my refund. Now I fear that they may use my credit card for their use illegally. Does this mean I need to change my card? I fear that. There should be legal actions available to protect me from this type of customer treatment.

I have been getting nowhere talking with EATW's warranty dept. I ordered an engine in July at a cost of over $2000, received it about a month later. I was shipped a motor full of water. Fasteners were rusted to the point of breaking off. The front cover was cracked. I returned the motor, and received a credit of only $851. I am out over $1200, and can't get anyone ith any authority to talk to me.

Do not order from this company, I have been dealing with them for 2 years. They sent first engine and it lasted one years, thank goodness i filled out the warranty paperwork on time, but they still tried to not honor it. It took 6 months to get a second one and it is worst then the first one. We have already had to spend 4600.00 plus the cost of the engine, and it still doesn't run and has several issues. Please stir away from them you will get nothing but the run around, they are very rude, they are scammer, beware. Now I sit with a 2011 Ford F350 and doesn't run, still making payments. From other reviews I have read, when an engine does show up it is usually a piece of garbage with no compression in some of the cylinders or other major flaws. This seems to be a continuous issue with this business. They are not even worthy of one star, but no other choice. Please DO NOT Order from them.

Engine and Transmission World is very quick to draw the money from your account. That is where the quickness STOPs. ETW sent me a pic of an engine on a pallet ready to ship the first day. Ten days later still no tracking number was sent. I called and was told they had to pull the engine?? They, (Engine Transmission World) are living off the 25% they charge for cancellation. I decided to cancel the order because I needed the engine sooner than they shipped it. They kept $464 saying that it is a restocking fee. Why are they restocking an engine that was not taken out of stock. They are behaving like thieves.

`I purchased an engine from ETW followed all their stipulations my mechanic installed it and found it needed timing chain and gears, they were notified immediately and said they were going to send a replacement engine, still waiting and this was on 5/6/2023, offered many solutions to rectify the situation, made numerous calls, sent numerous E-Mails and my Mechanic has done the same and still nothing. They have cost me thousands in lost earnings because I do ride sharing. My vehicle is a 2010 Buick Enclave and the motor purchased was a 3.6 liter V-6 with supposedly 81,000 miles. Now I have to file a lawsuit to try and get the 3300$ it has already cost me. I would not recommend doing business with this company. They have no ethics. Clifford Edwards Ohio

I've been trying to deal with this company for over 4 months now. I purchased and engine and transmission, the engine arrived and although not what it was advertised, it did work. When I wrote a review last time, I was notified that I would be receiving a replacement transmission. When I called to find out where it was at, I was told the warranty was no good, even though I have an email stating I had a 1 year parts and labor warranty. I don't know what to do short of hiring a lawyer to try and get my money back and sue for the 4 months of down time. I wish I would have done my homework on this company, I've never been lied to and given the run around so much in my life. In my opinion if you decide to deal with this company, know that you are getting involved with deceitful, lying, manipulators. I was told my warranty was no good because the transmission wasn't installed within 10 day's of receipt. what does that have to do with the 1 year parts and labor warranty I was supposed to have on my purchase. This company is a poster child for why you need to deal with local business's and not someone on line. Tony W. Schmidt

Shipped me a 4.6 Ford engine that arrived completely covered in grease and dirt, wiring and accessories were just randomly cut off. no tags of any kind on the motor My Mechanic was very backed up and took about 2 months to get it installed. Engine was locked up with bent valves and bad timing chains. Claimed warranty and was told that i did not get it installed in the 30 day period so no warranty would be valid. Fact is that the engine was untested and junk. should not matter how long it took to get installed. this company is a complete SCAM. I am out over $3500.00

Let me open by saying we are a small family owned Independent used car dealer. We ordered a motor from Engine and Transmission World on March 3, 2023. The motor was delivered on 3-13 and installed the following day. Once installed we discovered the engine was knocking and filed a claim on 3-15. After several follow up calls we began to notice signs that things were questionable when no one returned our phone calls. We called numerous times and left many messages and each time the operator promised the claims manager would return our calls but they never did. Their engine was picked up 3-27 and returned back to Engine and Transmission World on 3-30-2023. After a couple months of trying to resolve this it became apparent that our claim was being ignored so we filed a dispute with our bank. On 6-7-2023 our bank informed us that our claim was rejected because the shop we used to install the engine hand wrote the invoice instead of typing it. That was the reason used to reject our claim even after their engine was returned to them. The total cost for this experience was $4730.00. What was learned. FIRST; before you order an engine or transmission online read the reviews-all of the reviews. That one thing could save you from major headaches. SECOND; use a credit card rather than a check card. A credit card provides the buyer more protection than a check card. THIRD; read the fine print. The mechanic we used is a one-man operation and one that we have used and trusted for over 20 years. To question his knowledge and ability was unthinkable. If you've had a positive experience buying from Engine and Transmission World I'm happy for you but before you buy look at the online feedback as well as the BBB reviews and you'll see that a majority of the reviews are negative.

Engine is damaged when received and full of water, I have called several times, I get told i will be contacted about the damaged claims/warranty. And yet to ever hear anything back about it. Have talked to them multiple times and still 3+ months and still waiting to get engine replaced or refunded.

I would not recommend doing business with this company due to their UNETHICAL business practices. They have hundreds of online complaints. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THEM. They do not give full refunds for cancelled orders. They charge you a 25% restocking fee. How do you claim to "restock" a product that NEVER left your possession? I canceled within 2 days of completing my order. I was informed even if I cancelled on the same day the order was completed the restocking fee would be the same. This cost me $338 for NO service or product. This rule is buried in their warranty policy which does not even come into play until you receive what you pay for. I am also reporting them to the Better Business Bureaus/Dept of Consumer Protections for both Virgina and Wisconsin to possibly prevent someone else this heartache!

They charged me $1580 x 2. Expecting engine in 7 - 10 days. A month later $1580 was charged and no engine. I called Bank of America- Dispute. They then deliverred the engine. I checked my balance. I was given my money back. So I paid again. Bank of America mailed me a declined claim and added the first charge again.

A total scam of a company hands down the worst customer service I have ever dealt with, ordered and paid for an engine for my van, and after 3 weeks of no emails or calls, I send them an email asking when I might see my engine, I get a call from a very rude man asking what my problem is? (plus that engine with the exact same mileage is still available online) so I explain in detail their website says 7-14 days and I would like to know when my engine may be delivered? So I can get my work truck back on the road! He responds that they have up to 60 days to get it to me by law as well as a few undesirable statements! So I respond with I feel their warranty is probably not worth the toilet paper it is printed on if they are going to make me wait as long as the law allows! His next statement is maybe you should cancel your order, I reply with email me the paperwork for canceling, have a nice day, Bye. This is the only response they sent in a timely manner! and I had it back to them within an hour of the end of our conservation! 3 weeks go by and no credit to my bank, or email response to my cancellation. So I call my bank to dispute the charge, and they tell me Engine and Transmission has 90 days to respond so now 3 months after the cancellation notice they still have not returned my $3700.00, so I call them and they tell me because I am disputing the charge they will not return my money as long as I keep the dispute going! (like I should trust this con man company) so I call my bank and they tell me they have to wait 90 days for ET Worlds' response. I am now 90 days from my original order and they still have my money! Do yourself a favor and buy from LKQ, I ordered the same motor with the exact same mileage from them the day I canceled with ET World and had it delivered to my shop in 4 days! Do yourself a favor anybody but this shitshow of a company!

Absolute scam business !! all positive reviews were written by employees of E&TW, Paid top dollar for 5.3 with 60K , received (after 4 months) a junkyard motor with over 150k miles, junk. after spending an additional $2500 rebuilding sent in warranty claim for "warrantied" parts, never heard from them, never received reimbursment. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE CROOKS.

This company will mislead you in order to profit. 1. shipping times are fabricated, and in no way will be anywhere near accurate. if you chose to cancel you will be charged a 25% fee, but that is hidden until the return is final. In other words they will hold off shipping until you are mad and cancel and then collect money for no service or product. 2.Free shipping of the engine but to return the core they will quote you more than what the core cost. So this is not an actual core charge it is an additional fee unlike a reputable business with an actual core charge. This is not how reputable sellers deal with cores so this is just a way to milk another $300-500 profit. 3.absolutely no communication from anyone unless you threaten. The shipping department will keep telling you that they have escalated the issue but this is a stall tactic. This is intentional stall tactic to try and get the customer to cancel. DO NOT CANCEL, dispute with your credit card company!! 4.warranty registration is set up as such it is very difficult to activate warranty, and I am sure if I need to use my "5 year warranty" we will never get a resolution.

Horrible company. Took 6 weeks to receive the engine. Took 2 weeks to get the warranty lined out. Now after 3-4 weeks of going back and forth with DALE, they will not pick up my core or give my core charge refunded. No help with anything. Screw this place..
