Romania | 17 July 2020I booked 2 tickets with fly sharp to go to New York on the 8th April 2020 with my partner and return on the 13th April. My flight was cancelled due the COVID-19 and I contact fly sharp .Every time I send them an email they respond by saying they have requested for my refund to the airline and will take 2 weeks .After 2 weeks , to wait another 2 weeks and after I sent another email and they respond I should wait for another 30 days . This battle and refund request goes back from April and till now no refund have been made just a number of my refund application. VERY DISAPPOINTING,I have been waiting patiently but this is unbelievable. My booking reference was 48NGWL . Now I’m considering to take the case to small claims court as it seems it’s the best was forward.

Ultimately, they proactively got in touch to let me know my credit options and eventual refund which is more than can be said for some of the other operators I've dealt with!

United Kingdom | 12 July 2020(Edit) since posting this review I was contacted almost immediately and two days later was informed I would be receiving a full refund within 5-7 working days. I have now received a full refund at the time of posting this review edit. It is unfortunate that communication was unreliable initially but I cannot fault them for rectifying the situation in the end. (Original review pre edit) I first applied for my refund a couple of months ago and was told a credit voucher would be sent to me via email by May 28th, the date comes and goes and I did not receive a credit note. I call back and I am told that I have to call to make a booking through them instead now? I sent multiple emails explaining my situation and the fact I currently cannot commit to booking immediately as my destination have closed their borders but received no response, it’s been over a month since the first email correspondence and I didn’t hear anything back even after two more attempts. At this point I would rather just be refunded as I no longer feel comfortable that things will go right when the time comes for me to book again. Very unfortunate experience!

United Kingdom | 10 July 2020I booked flights to Barbados with from London Gatwick to Bridgehead with Virgin and now the airline is no longer flying out of that airport and flights are being moved to different dates in Heathrow/ another London airport. Can I be assured that flights booked through Flysharp, not just through the Virgin website, will receive the same treatment. Booking reference: 2020 LP4HF5

United Kingdom | 09 July 2020Update - I have waited over 20 weeks now and have been told to wait another 14 days! Whilst I have now received the majority of my refund, I am still waiting to receive £321! I spoke to Moukal in management who advised me on Friday 24th that he would call me with an update on Monday 27th...Monday arrived, no call! I left him messages throughout the week and he called me back today (1 week later) to inform me that I must wait another 14 days. So 21 days if I'm to count the week that I was waiting for him to call. Terrible service from top down, not even an apology for not calling me on Monday. I have been waiting over 16 weeks for my refund. Poor communication from all levels of staff including management. I have called and chased so many times (lost count), sent over 20 emails - still nothing and no response from my last 5! My initial request was made in March to cancel flights, I was told that the refund process would take 4-6 week...6 weeks later, nothing! Called up to find that my request had not been made with the airline as promised. I spoke to Karan at the time who assured me that he would put my request through 'correctly' and that I should wait another 4-6 weeks, STILL WAITING. I am now in a longer waiting queue due to Shane's incompetence during my first call in March and him not fulfilling my request - flysharpe are not willing to do anything about this despite having tripled the waiting time for my refund due to their error. I'm shocked that this company falls within the Southall Travel umbrella group. Zero star should be an option. Invoice numbers: 4403739 4402185 Please do not sent me a generic response! There is no mention of your incompetent staff or the fact that your error has caused me further delay. Take some responsibility please!

No communication from them at all, always me ringing them for updates regarding my refund. Told me my money would be transferred back to me anything between 5-7 working days....its been 3 weeks! Go through a trusted agent rather than these cowboys!

United Kingdom | 29 June 2020Despite the uncertainty COVID-19 has brought to the travel industry, FlySharp have followed through exactly as promised and refunded me my full booking amount of flights that were cancelled by the airline in April/May this year. It took a couple of months for the money to arrive, but following up with our airline, it seemed they were the ones hanging onto our money. Also FlySharp initially offered a credit note, which is fair on their part as they are a business trying to survive during this unprecedented time, however as my job isn't secure at this time either, I opted for the refund which they processed. Communication relied on me having to chase FlySharp (hence 4 star review), however I am in no doubt they are probably extremely busy, and were able to answer my questions by phone and email to reassure me. Really hope to book with them again when things settle down

Also I would like to add that I have had minimal contact from yourselves and able to provide evidence of the weekly attempts to make contact with yourselves to which I’ve had no reply. I fail to understand that despite requesting a refund I am being informed it will take a protracted length of time despite offering a refund within 5-7 days to other customers. I had already spoken to emirates in regards to my refund to which they had already advised that they had forwarded you all monies weeks ago and were no longer in receipt. United States | 25 June 2020Buy at OWN RISK! Booked a return flight from LDN-HK with Virgin Atlantic during Dec 2019. The flight was supposed to be March departure and June return. The flight was cancelled due to CoVID-19, requested a refund and was met with extremely rude customer service who began shouting over the phone! After more than 5 phone calls and too many email exchanges to count, refunds still haven’t been received. They told me time after time that I will need to wait for 6 - 8 weeks, I have waited for a total of 14+ weeks and counting, still no refund in sight, only false promises and lies. My friends who booked directly with Virgin already received their refunds MONTHS earlier and I am still here waiting. Flysharp is deliberately keeping their customers’ money, and frankly, this behaviour is unacceptable, unethical and downright disgusting. For anyone still disputing, I would save your breath with the customer service and instead use the chargeback service provided by your debit/credit card provider and file a complaint with ABTA, IATA and ATOL instead. All of which I will be doing. Flysharp brags about being a member of all of those 3 organisations on their website to boost their credibility, well, I think these reviews on this website really show how credible you actually are. In the rare chance that customer service is reading this and wish to actually do something to help their customer instead of giving me false promises or a copy and paste answer, here is my booking reference: JZJYAT

United Kingdom | 23 June 2020I booked two business class tickets to Mexico in January for the 4th June. Due to the COVID-19 situation, the flights were cancelled. We called up a few days later and were asked whether or not we wanted a voucher or a refund. We asked for a refund and we were told to call back in a month to check the status of the refund. 2 weeks later I received a call from the customer support rep confirming the refund would be processed within 10 business days. One week later a full refund hit my account. I was sceptical in the beginning about what would happen with my flights, but I must admit the service has been fantastic.

United Kingdom | 20 June 2020I booked my flight using Flysharp in Feb 2020 and my flight was on 25th March with Turkish Airlines. After the lockdown, I called Flysharp and they said they will refund the money within 4-6 weeks. I called again last week and they said the refund was issued on 3rd May I should expect it by 19th June. I called them yesterday and they said the Airline is blocking the refund and I need to contact them, they gave a reference number for the refund application 4000804306, 4000804320 for each passenger. I Called the Airline by phone and by form, they replied that I have to contact my agency back and there is nothing they can do! Customer service isn't terrible considering they have to deal with frustrated customers, but they don't give correct information. Booking reference: W2CS2W

I decided not to go through the hassle of chasing them for a refund as soon as my flight was cancelled back in May because I was fortunate enough to be able to wait longer for a refund, and I was also aware that they would be extremely busy with many requests following lockdown. What surprised me was that they were the ones who contacted me and advised me to call them with regards to giving me a refund. I called them, they answered straight away and advised me that my refund would be processed within 12-30 days. I received my refund in under 12 days. I cannot fault the service I received and thought I would write a positive review because they seem to be getting a lot of bad press considering the circumstances.

According to KLM they are giving refunds but you have told me they are not! This is criminal, my father is elderly and stuck in another country and you have not had any care in the world. It has on occasion been impossible to get through to them by phone. Some of their staff lack basic manners. I've learnt my lesson, I won't be booking with these guys again. When I was rebooking I was sent emails from Southall Travel. I will not be using that company either.
