United States | 13 February 2019I was very impressed by the individual, Evan, with whom I spoke with. However, the process as a whole is entirely too onerous as related to what Centurylink wants. For myself I was only attempting to get an internet connection and to do so I was required to unfreeze my credit report then unlock it which to me is very troubling considering the fact that I don't trust giving my SS# to anyone and was also required to do this. We have no credit issues and the last time I checked our credit score was something like 830. Not only this understanding the rep from Centurylink was difficult due to the accent of that person. It would be much easier to do a chat with someone who is challenged with speaking clearly should not be talking to prospective customers. Not only this but to do this took at least an hour of my time which to me is not acceptable. Again let me say it was easy to work with Evan but I truly wish Centurylink would rethink the additional personnel they use to interface with customers. It is not that they aren't courteous it is just that they don't get it!!

United States | 12 February 2019I realize that some of these processes can be confusing and frustrating, but this was the ABSOLUTE WORST. As I think back over the two phone calls I had with your representatives, I cannot decide whether it is lack of knowledge, incompetence, or plain stupidity that drove the conversation. First of all, they were not at all interested in what I was saying, what I wanted to purchase, nor my questions about the conflicting information provided. They would repeatedly speak over me to sell me some additional feature or bundle before we even had a chance to determine if service was available. In that matter, we completed a long and tiring process to get a plan just to find out that it is not available. In my opinion, that is a piece of basic information that should be known in the beginning of the process. I was told by the representative that we much complete the process before we know for sure....BRILLIANT! Secondly, the ongoing narration from the representative interfered with understanding the contract. This representative was quickly reciting a script, completely oblivious to the fact that I may have a question (despite the fact that he was speaking so quickly, making him hard to understand). There were numerous cost details either left out or glossed over as though they were nothing important. For instance, no mention that a "waived" fee is only for a year and it is a 2 year contract. To that matter, no mention of the 2 year contract....I had to find that in the well hidden fine print on your web site presentation. I also received a hard credit check after asking an being told that it was soft. The fact that the response was quick and specific led me to believe this was a common question and probably a reliable answer. I was wrong. This is one interaction where i am having a hard time deciphering between incompetence and bold face lying. All in all, probably one of the most frustrating experiences I have had. If asked, I am going to encourage others to avoid your service and services like yours. As a middle-man, you don't represent anyone other than yourselves and there is no recourse to compensate me for your incompetence / lies. I am now dealing directly with the ISPs and I am at least having substantive, fact-based, conversations that pertain to my specific situation.

I do not understand why they couldn't transfer me or at least give me a number to call! Once I reached the right department, thw service was fine but do not get why it was necessary to call another number to give them my account number. Very inconvenient!!! & disorganized!!!
