United Kingdom | 27 January 2025A gentleman came to our door at the weekend to offer us a milk delivery. We agreed to the free trial which he told us we could cancel at anytime. After looking into the pricing in more detail later on that weekend, we decided it would be too expensive to carry on using the milk delivery service. I obviously understand it will always be slightly more expensive due to it being delivered to your doorstep etc but for us as a family, it would be too expensive to carry on. A Scottish gentleman called me on the phone today to see how we had got on. I explained we wanted to cancel due to it being too costly. I asked if I could cancel online due to me needing to leave the house for the school run to which he said no, the only way I could cancel would be to speak to someone on the phone and he would put me through. I was then put through to a Scottish gentleman who was quite rude in his tone. He said āwere you not told the price when the man came to your door?ā. I said yes but I hadnāt had time to think about the cost difference in enough detail in the short conversation we had at the door. He was asking if he could offer a small discount would I consider staying. I politely said no thank you I just needed to cancel asap as I had the school run. He then became quite aggressive on the phone and I became uncomfortable with how he spoke to me. He was questioning what I had been told on the doorstep the day I agreed and why the price was more expensive than a supermarket. I told him I understood that but I would still like to cancel. He then told me I owed money. I explained that I was told it was a free trail. He was then asking me for the leaflet I had been given and what information was on that and it was a good job he had asked me about that or I would have owed them money?! He was very rude in the way he spoke to me. The customer service was awful and I would never consider signing up for a milk delivery again after the way I was spoken to. Customer service goes a long way and it needs to be great service if you want to retain peopleās custom.

United Kingdom | 27 January 2025Have been with McQueens Dairies for a few years now and love the doorstep milk deliveries in glass bottles. Also like the fact that you can add to your order with a variety of other items if you wished. Any issues (have only had two in all the years I have been with McQueens) with non delivery but dealt with quickly by pleasant and helpful staff. Would highly recommend them.

They make it hard to cancel you have to call and get a very rude customer service person who I heard speak to her colleague about me after she thought I had hung up. They owe me money and said last week they where prioritising it still no refund now I've been told to call again. Do not use this company.

I have yet to receive a bill, despite chasing numerous times, now it's proving difficult to cancel. Shame because I'd love to support local farmers but honestly, they need to sort their backend admin if they want customers to stay.

United Kingdom | 25 January 2025Milk is nice enough, probably a bit better than quality supermarket milk, but expensive, and Im afraid not up there with the premium end of the specialty milk market. Iād hoped for cream on the top, but itās been very well homogenised. Local comment mirrors this and it seems it may not have much longevity although I canāt tell yet. My wife ordered oat milk and was horrified when I told her how much it cost. They make it as hard as possible to contact except by phone btw. Fortunately, I didnāt set up a DD.
