United Kingdom | 21 November 2023I had an amazing experience. My co-ordinator Burcin was truly amazing. So helpful. She answered any questions I had and helped me if I was feeling anxious. Even after surgery she is still checking in with me which is helping my recovery. If you need a co-ordinator ask for Burcin. You won't be disappointed. The surgeon I had was Dr Kemiksiz but he also worked with Dr Aslan and they are so lovely and friendly. Having Burcin as my co-ordinator throughout the build up to my surgery and through my surgery was so comforting. We spoke so regular that it made it worth while. Much love Burcin ❤️

United Kingdom | 19 November 2023I went to Turkey to have a gastric bypass, something that wasn’t open to me on the NHS because I don’t meet the criteria, I was only a few stone overweight but it was more in the hope of trying to get rid of my type 2 diabetes, which is poorly controlled. The first point is before you arrive in Turkey the coordinators are very helpful but not to the level we are used to in the UK, don’t let that put you off. 2nd point is having to pay in cash or pay a huge commission fee, I was worried this might be a scam, but It wasn’t. Arriving in Izmir lots of Brits are picked up by a minibus and you’re taken to a nice hotel. The next day you’re shuttled to the hospital, which is clean and like a hotel and I then had the most in-depth tests I’ve ever experienced, Tests that I’ve never been offered by the NHS, you even see a cardiologist who scans your heart. Once all this is done and as long as you’re well you’re admitted. Personally, I couldn’t have the op straight away as my sugars were dangerously high, they gave me insulin overnight and performed the surgery the next day, this made me feel very looked after. We had the lovely Victor looking after us and explaining everything, such a super helpful guy. My surgery went ahead and was successful, they also filmed it so you can watch it back. The surgeon checks on you daily and seems very professional and invested in your health. Everything is explained in depth about life after surgery. All in all, it was a very good experience and I’m recovering nicely. A few points to consider I think though when researching that I hadn’t considered. Your companion will be bored and the food isn’t great, you can order extra from the café downstairs though. Izmir isn’t a tourist area at all and my female companion felt a bit scared venturing out alone at times (more the bazaar area). You will be toldabout many extras about an hour before surgery one of the big ones of if you have a hernia, they won’t operate without fixing it and that costs £500 extra, also another patient had to have 4 blood transfusions at £250 each. I think for me the biggest consideration is feeling so rough ( I had hypersickness) in a strange country so far away from home, at one point I wasn’t sure I was fit to fly and I just wanted to come home. But in conclusion, Dr Deniz has essentially saved my life, something the NHS weren’t willing to do and for that, I’m so grateful. So this is a positive but realistic review.

United Kingdom | 17 November 2023I attended Gozde Internation Hospital to have surgery. I had a Gastric Sleeve. With the help of Alp who helped me from the start. He was polite and cheerful and always responded to any queries I had very quickly, what ever time of day I asked. This made the time leading up to my surgery go smoothly. I would highly recommend Alp to anyone as their co ordinator. I had my surgery on 7th Nov 2023 with Ergin Arslan. What a wonderful surgeon he is too bedside manner was amazing. I am recovering really well at nearly 2 weeks post op. I would also recommend this Surgeon 😊

United Kingdom | 17 November 2023A good friend gave Devrin Umut Ulusoydan my number as I wanted to know more about the process and procedure as my husband was rather skeptic. Devrin sent me a message via WhatsApp within 5 minutes of my friend asking him to contact me. My husband had many questions which was all answered in full by Devrin and no question was a silly one. I literally asked him everything. I had no pushy ness he literally left me and my husband to think things over and to go back to him once we was ready or if we had any further questions. Devrim was always very polite and if he didn’t know the answer he said he will speak to the surgeon and get back to me, which was also done quickly. My experience was faultless with Devrin Thank you Devrin 🙏🥰

Spain | 15 November 2023From the start I was never pushed to make a decision but given details of the package and the price. I was assisted to find the cheapest flights and collected from the airport to a nice hotel, very comfortable with a fridge & kettle. If you want to watch any English movies the tv is Turkish.( I had plenty of reading materials) there is wi- fi in both hotel and hospital. Initially you go to one hospital and have blood work, ECG, Lung Function Test, cardiologist review . Then you move onto the hospital where you pay your money get whipped into a hospital gown with anti embolism stockings. They give you a small dose of sedation to pop you off to sleep while they pop a scope to check your oesophagus stomach and look for hiatal hernia’s and your gall bladder. The latter 2 they can remove if there’s problems for an extra fee. I had a small hernia but it was not necessary to be repaired . The nurses either speak English or have a translator app, You come back to the ward with a bag of fluids and my mouth felt like the Sahara Desert. After a few hours you get up and walk I was lucky and didn’t get gas pains a few niggles in my shoulder but once the drain was out everything was so much better. I was in hospital Mon, Tues and went back to the hotel Wednesday afternoon. This is where I would say take a partner as no one checks on you, so if you were to fall and injure yourself, you’re in big trouble. I was under the impression that a nurse was in the hotel just keeping an eye on the newly discharged patients. Across the road there are little shops where you can buy milk, apple juice, yogurt, kefir ( I didn’t get a shaker with my meal replacement drinks) but I got by. The transport was there Sun morning to the airport and make sure you have your fit to fly letter to allow you to take your blood thinners on board with you. I had a 12 hour trip home so was exhausted and missed my own bed so much. I recently saw a TikTok ad for the hospital with pts doing the dancing and knees up ( they must have been pre op) The dietitian, dr, nurses , contact staff are great and so far 3 weeks I’ve lost 5kg and apart from fading bruise am doing better every day. I’ll be seeing my own GP next week and best of all chewable food

United Kingdom | 14 November 2023I had surgery at Gözde International on 30/10/2023. I had a fantastic experience and wanted to share from beginning to ‘end’ Initial contact- My initial contact was with my medical consultant named Ata. Ata provided me with all information I requested and helped me to make the decision to book with Gözde. He wasn’t at all pushy and I never once felt like he was trying to close a sale. He was polite, very responsive (at any time day or night) and nothing was too much trouble for him. He never chased me or made me feel pressured to book the procedure. He waited for me to come back to him when I was ready. I cannot stress enough how pleased I was with his level of service. Even after I did book, he maintained the same level of professionalism. If I had a question he wasn’t sure on he would ask the surgeon and get back to me promptly. I hope Gözde treat him well as he deserves recognition. My travel coordinator was named Pelin. She was very kind and thorough. She provided me with an itinerary and also checked in again a few days before travel to remind me of what to do when I arrived etc. Arrival in Izmir- I have no complaints at all. When I arrived in Izmir I knew where to go for the transfer thanks to Pelin’s detailed information. I was greeted and had a short wait before myself and a few others were taken to the Myway Deluxe. The hotel was wonderful. Very modern, clean and great rooms. The cafe is nice too and they stayed open late so we could get some food before having to be NBM. Next day we had a transfer to the Özel Sağlık hospital. At the hospital- All of the pre op tests were completed. This is a very fast process where everyone goes through the tests from station to station. Very well organised and prompt. The tests were thorough, bloods, ECG, lung function, X-ray, ultrasound. Following those I was transferred to the economy hospital. Their paperwork was signed and payment made. I was offered the option of a different stapling method for an additional £250. I declined and that was respected. I was then taken to my room on the 4th floor and met my nurse Özlem. Her English was limited, but she would use google translate where necessary. She was an attentive, hard working and truly wonderful nurse. I couldn’t have been any happier with the care I received from her. The op - I met with the surgeon beforehand (Dr Arslan) and he was so nice. His English was very good too, which was a relief because my Turkish is basic at best. I went down for endoscopy quickly and that was performed by Dr Kemiksiz. He was also very nice and friendly. He made me feel very relaxed as I drifted off to sleep. When I awoke in theatre all of the staff preparing me for the surgery were very kind, we chatted and laughed. They even put on some music for me and I went to sleep smiling and feeling very safe. I awoke in my room and Özlem cared for me through the post op pain. Once I had pain relief I was very comfortable. I was constantly topped up with fluids/pain relief/anti sickness etc. Özlem was an absolute Angel. She worked 24 hour shifts! But smiled throughout and I never felt alone or in pain. The second day I had a male nurse and I can’t recall his name but he was also very good. Day 3 Özlem was back again. I also had a visit from Ata which was so thoughtful. I have heard others say they weren’t happy with aspects such as cleanliness of the room or things missing and things along those lines, but if you ask the staff they will happily help. At least that was my experience. Medical consultant Ata, travel coordinator Pelin Dalkesen, Doctors Ergin Arslan & Mehmet Kemiksiz and my wonderful nurse Özlem Çetin. Thank you all so so much. You made my experience perfect and I’m forever grateful to you all. Thankfully I don’t need to do this again…but if I did, I would return to Gözde hospitals in a heartbeat.

United Kingdom | 14 November 2023Was explained everything that was included in the package. Paid tge deposit then had to show my flights to my coordinator yigitcan. A few days before it was explained where I should meet at tge Airport (this wasn't as simple to find). Got dropped off at the hotel for the night, the hotel was very nice. Picked up early the next morning to be taken to the premium Hotel for all the pre op tests, then taken to the budget hotel. We had to pay then were admitted. Just as I was about to get my endoscopy it was stopped and I was taken back up to my room. I wasn't sure what was going on. The translator came and told me that they had found something on my blood tests, ovarian cysts. I needed to see the gynaecologist and have more blood tests, this cost me an additional £100. I had to go downstairs and pay this. The blood tests were sent over to the premium hospital for the Dr's tgere to look at. Then around 5pm I was told that my surgery could go ahead. I went for my endoscopy and was then taken straight to theatre. As I was about the be anethatised I was told that they had found a huge hernia which had to be repaired, this was going to cost me £500. The surgery was done. Hospital staff were all very good, was visited daily by the surgeon. Discharged on day 3 post op at 9am and was collected at 10am to be taken back to the hotel. Following day I was collected at 10am and dropped off at the airport.

United Kingdom | 14 November 2023Medical coordinator was great with responding to any questions I may have had before and after booking the surgery. The hospital was in decent condition and staff were very friendly only downside was the surgeon I booked with I ended up with a different surgeon when I got over when no explanation other than my surgeon didn't do surgery in that hospital so bit strange however my surgeon was very friendly with small amount of interaction I had with him Milad as hospital was absolutely lovely very helpful and checked in alot. Hotel room was beautiful however hotel was a bit of a nightmare with electrics going off etc food at hotel for my partner wasn't necessarily what you'd eat back home in UK no toast/cereal chips for breakfast or soup lol but we stayed an additional 3 days and local places are beautiful and really cheap should you bring lira with you Edit *1 January 2024* it's been close to 2 months since my surgery and I have received no aftercare as advised online aftercare for life have not received anyone contacting me to see how I'm getting on etc? I just have contact with my coordinator who id initially contact not other way round. After care to me is contact with dietician etc so I'm changing my review to lower stars because I paid close to 3k and have not received any aftercare at all other than having some of my questions answered by a non medical professional they have to contact another person to get information from youd expect to have your own aftercare team however not the case and I'd assume because they are doing so many surgeries a day they wouldn't be able to keep track with it so I wouldn't recommend anyone to go unless youre happy with no aftercare at all

United States | 09 November 2023After having 5 children in the space of 10 years with my youngest 2 children being aged 1 and 9 weeks old my body has gained so much weight! Over the years I've tried what feels like everything to loose weight, after doing some research I finally decided to take the plunge and book in for a gastric sleeve. After seeing friends had it done with amazing results i knew this is what i wanted to do. I was contacted by saida via WhatsApp and the whole booking process was super easy! She arranged it all for me and the dates I requested where available, saida was super friendly and answered all of my questions! 🥰 i asked for email receipts for my deposit payment and they where sent within the hour along with all instructions what I need to do at the airport etc. All I need to do now is wait for my surgery in April. Saida is a credit to your company and is worth her weight in gold! Thank you Saida and Gozde hospitals, this will change my life ❤️

United Kingdom | 08 November 2023Everything went as smooth as could have. Aftercare was second to none. The wee nurse forgot to change and clean my dressings on departure date. But done it myself. Afaf, who was my coordinator was just amazing, always there whenever I needed her. And she still is 3 weeks post op. A gem of a girl. Overall an unexpectedly great experience. Thanks to all involved in giving me the best shot at life.

United Kingdom | 06 November 2023I started my journey on the 17th of September 2023 with this hospital, I had Dr Ergin as my surgeon I was very nervous as you can imagine but from start to finish I can not tell you how amazing the care was for myself, every single member of staff went high and beyond to make sure I was comfortable, in no pain and constantly checking everything. The surgeon himself was overall one of the kindest man I have ever known when coming to anything healthcare related. He truly cares for your health! There is not one single thing I can fault with this hospital, I can’t thank them all enough for giving me my life back and being happy in myself! I have lost Almost 3 stone with no complications. The coordinators are fantastic, they help you from start of booking to a lifetime of care, even down to the transportation members of staff was so kind and helpful. The hotel & hospital was completely stunning most clean place I have ever stayed in (I was in the premium hospital) I met some wonderful people in my time of visit here and all though I wanted to give them all the world for making me so happy all I can say is thank you. You truly changed my life. I could not recommend this company enough, the amount of friends and families I have already recommend them to already is insane and they are even looking into this hospital for themself! Thank you!
