Seems like they have gone into liquidation but their NL based office is still running. I sent multiple emails and received a bounce back each time, I also tried via the website and still nothing.

United Kingdom | 01 March 2024I've shopped with People Tree over the years and never had any problems... Until July 2023. I ordered 2 dresses but had to send them back because the fabric was really thin and they didn't fit properly. More Primark than People Tree quality. At the end of July, I noticed that the refund had not been processed and emailed People Tree. On July 31 I got a reply from the company Director, he said that their customer service specialist had had to leave the company at short notice and that “we are working through the backlog of outstanding issues as fast as we can to ensure that nothing gets missed whilst we recruit and train someone else.” Fast forward to September. A large letter landed on my doormat informing me that People Tree UK has collapsed into administration and listing me as one of the creditors. Unfortunately, I paid by debit card and never got my money back. The reason I’m posting this review is because I can see that their European website is still running and I saw two reviews from EU customers who ordered but never received anything. DO NOT ORDER!!! The European website hasn’t been updated for months. If you look at T&C’s, you’ll see that the website is operated by People Tree Ltd, a company registered in the UK under number 02949366, whereas orders are fulfilled by People Tree Enterprises BV, a company registered in The Netherlands under KVK 82275602. People Tree Ltd, registration number 02949366, is the company that entered administration last September. How can a company that is being liquidated operate a website and forward information about orders to the Dutch arm of People Tree? You can find Opus Restructuring Llp (their liquidator) details on Companies House should you wish to contact them. If you’re reading this and are EU based, please spread awareness so that unsuspecting customers wouldn’t be placing new orders on the Dutch website! On September 27, 2023 The Guardian wrote that “People Tree’s European website is continuing to operate, with a note promising that shipping to the UK will begin soon, but former insiders said the European operation’s only employee was being made redundant and it was not clear how trade would be able to continue as the buying and marketing had been run from the UK.”

Denmark | 16 February 2024The same happened to me as i can see happened to multiple people here. I placed an order, it's been three weeks and I've gotten nothing but the order confirmation. The money was taken from my account, but I haven't gotten my order. I've had great experience with people tree in the past, with high service and really great clothing, so I never thought this would be different. Update: I did get the pants, and they are amazing, but still very strange not to hear from the site, npt even when my product arrived.

France | 14 December 2023I placed an order on Nov 13th. I received the confirmation email, and my bank account was debited. However, I never received my order. They don’t reply on instagram and both emails people and pr can’t be reached. I linked this brand and I have previous products so I never thought to look for reviews. I wish I did. I juste gave them 50,50€ for nothing, and that includes the delivery cost !!!!! I’m pissed.

United Kingdom | 20 September 2023Similar to other reviews, I'm waiting for a refund. I returned items on July 17th and have had no response from People Tree despite chasing them several times. They don't respond to emails and there doesn't seem to be a contact number. So disappointing as I've bought clothes from them in the past and have never had any problems before.

Like previous reviewers, returned 3 items in July and had no refund, no reply to emails and phone number unobtainable. Not very ethical to ignore your customers. Sounds like they are in trouble. Will not order with them and advise others likewise.

However, I have had to chase for refunds and wait months for them to come through on the last two occassions and now I am still waiting for a refund for items I returned in May after they shipped me the wrong thing. They haven't responded to my emails. I have now raised a dispute on PayPal. Very disappointing.

Luckily I purchased via Paypal, so I am getting back my refund back from them. Disappointing because this used to be a great company.

United Kingdom | 08 September 2023I am very disappointed in this company. I made a return for one of the items I'd ordered back in July. The return was received on 20th of July but Peopletree did not acknowledge the return or let me know that a refund was being processed. I contacted them by email as that is the way they said to be contacted. However I received no response. I eventually messaged them on Facebook and was told that they were working through their emails. There was no follow up from this whatsoever. I tried using Resolver to escalate this and still no response. Eventually after reading a recommendation on Instagram I raised a dispute with PayPal and got my refund. I have no idea what's going on with this company but I'm not happy that they're accepting and sending orders fine but seem to have no customer service whatsoever.

Ireland | 06 September 2023I returned goods on the 11th of August and like that have always adored their clothes. No response to emails and UK phone number isn't working. Will I need to go through the ombudsman to get this sorted. I am owed £200 sterling and am loathe to buy from them again. Bitterly disappointed with this service or lack thereof and at a loss as to why it's happening!!
