United Kingdom | 17 January 2019I buy around 80% of my clothes from PeopleTree and have done for some years now as they are the most ethical retailer I can find with fashionable clothes. For the most part I am happy with the customer service and products, I have some items that I love. I have sent them queries more than once though not related to specific purchases and got no reply which i think is very poor. Not sure if they just didn't have the information or were not happy to answer the question. I would have expected at least a response saying they did not have any information or had not any response at this time. Anything would have been polite. Since I am buying from them based on the company ethos I think it is reasonable to ask questions about it.

France | 16 January 2019Ordered some items and I returned them as they were too big. I loved two of the items so I reordered them in a size smaller. Everything arrived on time etc however after I had taken the tag off one of the dresses I realised that they had not sent me the size I had ordered but a size even smaller. It does fit which is why I took off the tag but they still made this error and I think I would have preferred the size up. Unfortunately the parcel I initially returned appears to have gone astray with People Tree (as Royal Mail has confirmed delivery) and I have not yet been refunded. However, I hope this will be resolved soon.

United Kingdom | 16 January 2019I'm a long time fan of People Tree - I enjoy wearing their clothes and really support the ethos of the brand. On the whole in the past I have had good service, however, I recently ordered a dress and a couple of days later received an email saying the item was out of stock and that I would be refunded. I appreciate the refund being processed promptly, however, not getting the dress was a real disappointment and I can see that others appear to have experienced the same problem. I really think you need to look into rectifying this issue, where items that are not actually in stock appear to be online, as it's frustrating and will lose you customers!

United Kingdom | 16 January 2019I love People Tree, they are the most beautiful clothes at good prices, especially given that most of the clothes are handmade. After wearing PT clothes I found high street clothes feel cheap and nasty - scratchy synthetic fabrics, probably made in factories in not great conditions, and if an item is ridiculously cheap, you know someone else is paying the price. PT excel on prints, embroidery, woven fabrics, the hand-knitted jumpers. I've been buying PT for years, and the first items I bought way back when are still going strong. This is gorgeous fashion without pain for others and destruction of the environment. Thank you!

United Kingdom | 31 December 2018I ordered an item (as a present for Christmas) and the money was taken from my credit card. However, I received an email informing me that they had a stock error and couldn't send the item to me. I was refunded my money and I appreciate that. Other than a sorry I received nothing though. I expressed my disappointment and asked if they knew if a stockist still had the item. I was given a link to a list of stockist. The list is not hyperlinked so I found myself googling every single company to search for the item on their website, which took forever. Unfortunately, there is no indication of companies that have an online shop so I had to figure out myself if the company sold anything on their website. A tedious process and I eventually realised that the list was not complete and that this took far too long. I gave up at that point without the present I hoped for. Next, I got in touch with peopletree and kindly asked if they could keep an eye out for the item in case of a return after Christmas but I was informed that they don't offer that service. Again, disappointing. Overall, I'm a bit shocked by this poor customer service and I think it doesn't go with the company's image nor with the price range they work in. Bearing in mind that I didn't receive the item in the first place was due to an error on their behalf, I can't think of another retailer that let me down like that. Call me old fashioned but I am rather disappointed by their customer service which is a shame as I love(d) their approach and designs.

I have made a mistake in my order, let them know and they have changed it almost immediately. One thing I really wish they did is to make and offer a size smaller than 8, especially for bottoms and dresses. I am a size 6 and cannot wear their skirts without alterations, and dresses don't fit around the waist.

United Kingdom | 07 November 2018Great ethical company. I love the tags supplied with most of the items, telling of the items origins and artisan makers. The textiles (especially the handwoven) are of wonderful quality - soft and free of the typical "chemical" notes you might experience in clothes from the high street. Never had any issues with deliveries being late or going missing. Once, however, my partner received a shirt with a button that seemed to have been crushed in transit, but Customer Service was very helpful in resolving the issue. Back in the days when the site offered male clothing, my partner bought most of his clothes from peopletree. He's really missing the soft peopletree shirts. Hopefully, they'll be made available again someday.

Telephone customer service line has very limited hours and there is no response to my email. Would advise not to order from them until they improve the process, or you are sure you will not need to return an item.

United Kingdom | 10 October 2018I have been a customer of Peopletree for many years, and am happy to have seen their range improve steadily. The styles and quality are getting better all the time, and the V & A collaboration has produced some lovely things. They are usually very good at getting things sent out, (though as others have mentioned the stock system is a bit behind at times) but the returns process tends to be slow, and they can be slow responding to customer queries, both of which are frustrating and let the company down. I hope they can improve that side of things to the same standard as their products, because they deserve to do well.

I managed to find a cardigan I liked available in small, ordered it along with a few other pieces. The other pieces arrived but I was emailed to be told the cardigan was out of stock when my other things had already been delivered.

Germany | 27 July 2018I ordered the first time from People Tree. 3 Pieces worth about 180€. The clothes are made and designed really well! But unfortunately they did not fit properly, so I did send them back (from Germany with shipping costs about 18€!). I'm still waiting for my refund...I wrote People Tree 4 e-mails - the first 2 did not get through, because apparently their e-mail-mailbox was full (seriously?!)! So I made a screenshot and wrote them via Instagram - didn't get a response either. They did not even read it for days! Seems like they made some space in their mailbox now, because my last two mails got through. But I'm still waiting for a response and my refund! The company seems not to care about customer service at all? The person rating in January seemed to have the same problems!
