NO refund, no communication, do not buy from them Sorry to be another person with a bad experience of People Tree. No refund received for clothes returned in June, no response to my multiple emails. I did get an initial response which said their Customer Service representative had left and to bear with them… asking me to email them to prompt them!! Then no replies at all. I even sent a formal letter via recorded delivery to their offices which has been returned. I’ve had good experiences with People Tree in the past but can only urge people not to buy from them now.

I returned some items over two months ago, and despite contacting them many times via email (they do not have a phone number), I have still not received a refund. I have now taken up the issue with the ombudsman and my bank. The website is still up and running, so it seems that they are still trading despite the many reports that the business has gone bust. I am owed £70 and I am not very confident I will get it back...

Made an order 24th July which I sent for return on 31st July. It's not 4th August and no recognition of this at all or response to any emails with proof of postage. Tried calling customer services and the number doesn't work. I have always supported People Tree in the past for well made ethical clothing but this has completely ruined my trust in the brand

I am still awaiting a refund after returning an item on 21st June 2023. I have emailed them 3 times. On the first occasion I did receive an email from their CEO James Minney in which he explained that a member of staff who dealt with returns had left the company rather suddenly. Since then, no reply to emails. It is very disappointing as I like to support ethical companies

Very sad to say am having the exact same experience as recent reviews on here. They really should not be accepting any orders if they are not staffing the returns department. Very sad to say think I've lost my money for the returned dresses. Not very ethical at all as it turns out.

I hope you check on here before buying anything directly from people tree I bought 4 items and returned one dress still have not got my refund and you send emails and no one replies I going to report them and I hope everyone does too this is unacceptable

Absolute crooks. Sent back 3 items and kept 1 (the most expensive item), over six weeks ago. Have chased 5 times and no response. I am owed £152 and that's quite a lot of money to me. These people should be ashamed of their daylight robbery, especially when they operate as an 'ethical' company. Despicable.

Prices on website are not the same during checkout. I didn’t notice and overpaid by more than £30. I emailed right after I ordered and received no response so far. No ability to call because Covid? Disappointing experience.

Awful customer service, unfortunately the dress I bought didn’t quite fit so I sent it back promptly the day after receiving it. After about 10 days I hadn’t heard anything on wether they had received my return or when a refund would be processed. I emailed about 3 or 4 times, tried to ring the phone lines that are now non existent due to ‘covid’ I also tried to message via social media about my return. I finally received a response via email explaining that they were having staffing issues but yet nothing explaining if they had received my return or when a refund would be processed after again sending 3 or 4 emails multiple days apart they finally said they had processed a refund. Suprise suprise refund still hasn’t arrived in my bank so I contacted yet again and they showed me proof of refund to someone who has a completely different first name to me but has the same surname for a wrong amount. After emailing back and saying they had the wrong person I got a strongly worded email saying it was my fault that the refund hasn’t been processed correctly as I threatened them to go to social media, I read back through my dozen emails to them to check and alas I hadn’t made any sort of threats whatsoever the only mention of social media was that ‘I tried to contact customer services via social media’ Not only has the process of getting a refund been lengthily and time consuming the communication and false accusations and allegations from customer service and they way they have spoken to me have been disgusting and upsetting.

People Tree is my go-to for well made, well cut clothing made of organic materials. The quality of their stuff is excellent for the price, especially considering it is fair trade. The one time I had to return something they dealt with it without any hassle. Highly recommend them.

if customer service matters to you this company replies to emails by a real human who is kind, considerate, and professional. customer service attitude really matters to me and it hasn't been one occasion they were very polite and helpful. they offer free returns which is also helpful. for the tops I have found the sizing generous, for bottoms i have found it regular. not everyone is always perfect but I think this is a good company to purchase and support. I hope this carries on.

I really like the ethics and concept of this company: stylish clothes made by correctly paid workers. BUT their sizing for any kind of curve really doesn't work. It also takes a really long time to get a refund. I've gone through the process a couple of times now and it just doesn't work.

I like the fact that all the clothes here are eco friendly.the design and style are my taste too which is a bonus.prices are reasonable as well and i think i would buy from peopletree again.

No confirmation of receipt, no refund within 3 weeks of receipt of return ( to dutch EU mainland returns center). No response via email. Such a shame! I Live the company and the products which I purchase and enjoy for macht years. Butter this is inacceptable

Beautiful handmade, organic and ethical clothing. Have shopped with people tree for over 10 years because their clothes are an investment and last a long time. It feels good too knowing I am investing in the people who made them and their traditional production methods that are environmentally friendly and worth every penny. Such a wonderful company and ethos.
