United Kingdom | 08 April 2022Recently bought some women's underwear from them and another vendor as looking for sustainable options, unfortunately the people tree pants were an odd cut - slightly tight in some places, uncomfortable to wear with not very soft fabric and i would return except for no returns policy on underwear - so £30 down the drain. The other vendor's (Boody) pants were by contrast soft fabric, very comfortable fit and also sustainable.

I’ve been shopping with People Tree since they started, and have never had a bad experience, both with garment quality and customer service. Their sizing is sometimes quite generous, but I generally order two sizes and send one back. Returns are free and refunds generally prompt. My latest item (a shirt dress) is lovely quality and arrived next day.

Germany | 02 December 2021I ordered £65 worth of items and Royal Mail initially lost my order. My order on their website showed that it was delivered when it never was. Despite raising this with People Tree, and constant back and forth with them, I received no help and no idea what would happen to the £65 I had spent on their website. My husband chased with Royal Mail who admitted that they had mislocated the parcel and were understaffed and finally delivered it to us on the 11th Nov, a delay of almost 2 weeks. The customer service from People among the worst I've ever experienced. When in other stores (and I regularly shop at & other stories) when a parcel is lost, I'm refunded. I finally managed to get my parcel but this will be my first and last order from People Tree as their customer service have no interest in your custom once you've paid and if your parcel if lost will insinuate you're a thief whose trying to steal from them.

I am a size 8 for all other brands and have no problem so far. but when I ordered 2 pairs of trousers from Peopletree in size 8, one of them is too big and long to the point that the bottom part would touch the floor even when I'm in heels; while the other is too tight to the point I couldn't put it on. Moreover, there's no size chart on the website for the second pair so there's no way I could have known.

United Kingdom | 17 May 2021Dear People Tree, I was very excited to shop with you for all the worthy reasons that people do. The reviews on Trust Pilot were excellent, so I had no hesitation in sending in my first order. When the order finally arrived, it had the wrong item in it. I had ordered a black polka dot dress and received a blue and black striped dress instead. When I asked for the item I had ordered, I was told that unfortunately, it was now out of stock and that if I sent the item back I would get a refund. I had to return it to the nearest Post Office which is a mile away and stand in a long queue. Much as expected in these circumstances. Two weeks later, no refund had arrived and no communication. When I queried this, I was told that a replacement order had been sent out to me, which I was really pleased about. Imagine my surprise then, to find that the item sent out to me was the wrong one again. In fact, exactly the same wrong one I had sent back. I now have to go through this ridiculous process again. What is going on People Tree? I know there's a pandemic, but this feels beyond careless. What a pity. I won't be shopping with you again.

Love the ethos, the fact that they have remained true to their good ethics and morals as they have grown over the years. Very transparent, ethical company. Recently I asked about getting a refund on an item that did not fit me and they were very patient with me and everything was explained well about what I can do. I appreciate the whole process of how all the items are made so consciously and the amazing work being done in other countries.

United Kingdom | 01 February 2021I ordered a pair of trousers from People Tree that were the wrong size and which I ended up having to return. I had a discount code for my first purchase and as People Tree don't do exchanges I had to pay full price for my new order. However, I contacted People Tree about this and they quickly replied and refunded me the difference. When my orders arrived I found the trousers to be wrapped in plastic which was a little disappointing as one of the main reasons that I chose People Tree is because of their environmental and fairtrade ethos. However, when I queried this I was assured that the plastic is indeed recyclable. I suggest that People Tree make this clearer as no doubt this question has, and will continue to be raised many times and without symbols on the bags, how are we to know? When I read the reviews of this company on Trust Pilot after making my orders I was a little worried as it seems like a lot of people have had problems with returns making it back into their bank accounts. However, my return was quick, as was the communication and my trousers are excellent quality that are clearly made to last. I will definitely reorder from People Tree.

I try to shop with only ethical and sustainable clothing companies, and they have such a great mission and I really like their range of clothing so they're perfect. All orders are sent in sturdy paper bags (although clothes are supplied in plastic bags within this, which is a shame). Their refund process is as robust as any other company and customer service is excellent. My one minor gripe is lack of alternative sizing - I need a longer leg length in trousers which they don't currently do - but I've been in touch with them and they said they're considering this in future.

I (almost) haven’t taken them off since they arrived. Well done to the design and sourcing teams and the workers at Sarp Jeans. I’ll definitely be back for another pair.

United Kingdom | 03 December 2020People Tree's customer service team had emailed me to address the issues regarding 'No sign of delivery' as well as phone call not responded. They had reassured that delivery is about 3-5 days, which my order came on the 5th day upon dispatch date which they wrote in earlier email. Unfortunately, these items are too tight, and I was advised via email last night on returning the items with the return label provided in the package. They did respond quite fast. Only thing is I cannot exchange sizes instead to re-order again. Overall, my first purchase experience with PT isn't bad although had a hiccup when there was no news of the delivery. Thanks for the service.

It arrived quickly, the jumpsuit I ordered was beautifully made, and customer service responded to me immediately when I thought I had an issue. I just didnt get an email with the tracking number - that's why I emailed them. But overall I am satisfied!

One of the main features of online shopping is ease of refund. People Tree don't seem to realise this. We are all aware of how difficult things are for companies right now, but the lack of acknowledgement is inexcusable.

Canada | 05 November 2020After a terrible experience with shipping late and the package getting lost, they sent me my order again. I received it today only to find out things were missing from it. It has been a month and a half and I still don't have everything I payed for. In response to the response bellow : It is also unacceptable to buy an item, available on the site, only to find out more than a month later that they are out of stock... Because you don’t receive it. When did it get out of stock ? Would you have even told me if I didn’t get in touch with you ? It doesn’t seem like it. Something is wrong with your enterprise and you won’t last long treating your customers as such. After all this, they wrote back and said they were sending a larger size that was still in stock. Without consulting me about sizes ! This is terrible ! Seriously, who takes care of customer service in this place ! O.k. it keeps on going... They reimbursed me... less than what I payed ! I have never seen such terrible customer service. Ridiculous !
