I'm an expat living in France since 32 years. I engaged TFX in 2016 for the streamlined amnesty procedure since I hadn't filed U.S. income taxes for some time. By definition, that process was a quite a bit of work for both of us but it was very efficient and effective. I've been using them ever since for my U.S. tax filings. Their processes and questionnaires are highly optimized to save time and are easy to understand. If you have a question, answers come back quickly. Their number one priority is to ensure you only pay the minimum amount of tax you owe, and they do a great job of it. The team is reactive and competent. I highly recommend them if you are outside the U.S. and are required to file U.S. income taxes.

My experience with TFX has been great so far. At first, I was bombarded with follow up questions from my tax preparer, and it was tiresome. However, it was clear to me that he was trying to be as methodical and professional as possible, so that all my tax documentation was submitted accordingly and lawfully, complying with all IRS guidelines.

This is an online company. If you want to talk with a human being, it costs $300/hr. The advertised rates do not reflect the real price for a service everyone would expect.

The tax accountant I was assigned to was very helpful, quick to respond to questions, efficient and quick to turn around my returns and made the process so much easier as I caught up on my overseas taxes. The tax questionnaire is fairly straight forward and I felt supported throughout the process. Would completely recommend TFX!

Had to switch to H&R Block on June 2 for several reasons : 1. Took TFX over 1 month to do my simple tax return I am retired living in Portugal on SSN and dividend income from my retirement portfolio . How hard can this be??? When I finally received a message that my return is ready for review, after opening the site , can not review until you pay 375USD???? Seriously !!!! I was then advised to use HR Block. Sent my forms to them and was completed in 3 days with ability to review before payment. TFX never asked for my 2020 tax return HR Block did which I think made it easier but my taxes are not complicated anyway I have used TurboTax for the last 5 years but this year when I started with them in February , their quality of employees dropped significantly asking me for info that I have never heard of or provided in the past plus the fact they always gave me excuses such as computer problems or my manager is out sick . What does this have to do with my taxes Anyway choose who you like but for me I am looking for competent , fast service with ability to review and accept before payment
