I'm a US citizen living in Japan. Up until last year I'd been delinquent on my US federal income taxes for about 12 years. My case was super complicated because i was running a guest house business, had some money coming into the US, and had received threatening letters from the IRS. I have been working with TFX for a few years now in order to comply with the poison pills the IRS has now imposed on US citizens who live abroad, including FBAR reporting. We owe no taxes, but still must go through this yearly rigmarole!
