United Kingdom | 07 February 2025Ordered a sofa in Feb 24, arrive 8 weeks later with damage. Recorded c.18 images and customer service said they would replace but it risks damage in transit or get a repair person out and order cushion covers etc from the manufacturer. Aug 24 I received 2 parcels with the covers and new material. No follow up from customer service. I contacted them to chase it up and they sent someone round, in Nov 24. Only half the replacements were in the parcels and the specialist could do half a job. Didn't receive a follow up from customer services so contacted again in Dec 24. Was advised that the missing parts would be re ordered but wouldn't be until new year. B&S haven't contacted me since and I am sick of having to chase constantly, when the sofa was very expensive and received it very damaged.

United Kingdom | 07 February 2025In two separate orders, I purchased a table and four chairs from Barker and Stonehouse, via the MyRewards/Edenred platform that my employer makes available to all in the firm. In doing so, I'd earn 5% cashback for making a purchase. The table arrived within 14 days, and I had to wait 1 month+ for the chairs. The products themselves are nice and the delivery teams were pleasant enough. However, I later found out that Barker and Stonehouse refused to honour one of my cashback offers. According to their system, it didn't technically appear to have been made via the MyRewards platform, despite the fact they agreed the other order had been and had paid cashback on it. When I appealed this and provided evidence of my second purchase (on the same day as the first) they refused to change their mind. The amount of cashback itself is immaterial, in the region of c.£24, but when a customer spends over c.£850 on goods, you'd hope the company would demonstrate a fairness and reasonableness for what appears to be a technical glitch. Consequently, it leaves a sour aftertaste in the customer journey and makes you question whether you'd purchase from them again. Why pump up your revenue if you can't give me what I signed up to in good faith? Two stars - shame.

David in Leeds was on hand with to deal with all our questions, and was very helpful. That was just after Christmas, and our sofa arrived today, 6th February, so a lot sooner than we expected. The two delivery guys Simon and Wojciech soon had our new sofa unpacked and all packaging removed. Very pleased with our choice, and the service provided.
