I am not happy as I have moved home 4 times down to disrepair issues. I have medical issues which has been getting me down. I’m left now having to chase up things I’m not happy with. I was mislead to believe that I was going to be compensated for all the stress myself and daughters have had to put up with. Clarion housing can hide behind there solicitors. The report regarding my electric issues I believe is wrong.

Used their "request a callback service". Waited 6 days and instead got an inane email from someone who could not string a sentence of proper English together. I replied pointing out that all the requested information had already been provided in the webform on the "request a callback" page. Never heard from them again. I suppose I should have checked out the 42 (now 43) 1 star (mostly "wish I could give 0 stars") reviews on here first. I note their standard robotic response to every complaint is "provide a case reference number or we can't say anything" but their idiotic email to me gave me no reference numbers to quote so even that is deliberately false. I shall be complaining about HJA to the Solicitor's Regulation Authority. They are a sham.

Laura O’Brien assisted me with my first interview with the police following an arrest. I followed Laura’s advice for the interview and trusted her knowledge and experience. I also spoke to a really lovely barrister called Matthew and both Laura and Matthew were excellent. I was facing a really serious charge which I knew I wasn’t guilty of and I’d never been in such a situation before so I appreciated their skill, knowledge and experience and the fact that I was treated with respect for the 4 weeks I had to endure the processes and procedures of such a serious charge. After 4 weeks all charges were dropped and I cannot thank Laura enough for the work she did for me. I would highly recommend this Solicitor to anyone.

Recently I had the pleasure of using the services of Laura O´Brien and her paralegal Shelby Keppel at HJA for a criminal law case related to animal rights activity. Their communication was perfect, their attention to detail impressive and at no time did I feel anything other than confidence having them handle my case. With great short notice, Laura was able to take on my case, and confidently represent me in pre-trial hearings, whilst Shelby took care of navigating the legal aid paperwork. When the prosecution´s evidence bundle arrived, they showed it sufficient scrutiny, correctly identifying gaps and contradictions, and wasted no time requesting further evidence, that could be used in my defence, from the prosecution. Likewise, they promptly followed up with witnesses I had provided, collating more evidence for my defence. Even though the indictment was for a minor offence, they treated the case with more than appropriate care and consideration, and impressively not only arranged a pre-trial meeting between ourselves, but managed to include the barrister in this as well! Thankfully, the case was dropped by the prosecution before it went to court, but I have no doubt the professionalism and scrutiny that Laura and Shelby demonstrated in their interactions with the prosecution, would have been a deciding factor in the decision not to continue prosecution. I would like to thank Laura O´Brien and Shelby Keppel for all their help, guidance and work during this rather unpleasant episode of my life. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to others who find themselves in a similar predicament, and I´m sure they will continue to do very well in their endeavours.

Hodge Jones and Allen were the best decision I made as the appointee for my brother (who was disabled and required help with divorce and children). On our first meeting with Bharti Shah (who was super helpful, friendly and always made herself available to help me when required) she told me that she cannot perform magic, setting realistic expectations for us, and will be able to fight the case with good evidence. Although this was costly, it was worth it given they had won the case for us, ensuring his assets were protected, regular children visitation was set and all false accusation were disproven. Strongly recommend this company to anyone who requires competent solicitors like Bharti.
