Gemini, who took my initial call, was wonderfully patient, good humoured, genuinely compassionate - as well as being professional and proactive. I am very grateful.

I want to thank zoe and Roshi for theyre assistance in my lying landlord that got me arrested for emailing repairs that were delayed and disruption(im stalking all lies as lazy). Zoe and Roshi listened and let me live my life as understood the mess of the police and Housing Associations foolery. 5 stars isn't enough. This company has clarity , confidence and credentials. Keep up the good work

If there’s a law firm that deserves top accolade it’s Hodge Jones & Allen. Quite simply put - the best of the best. If I could pick the best solicitor in the country, I’d pick Susie Labinjoh. Always helpful and works very hard to achieve the best result for her case.

I have been caused a lot of distress and feel betrayed by the paralegal who has been in charge of my case since February. I would therefore not recommend this firm. I do feel confused by the information given. I have found him insensitive and dismissive and poor at been consistent. Also when i told him i was not happy about my local authority housing profile saying i have no nationality on its online portal despite been a british born citizen and having a need for housing, he simply said “does it prejudice you though”…. Yes im a black woman.

I have dealt with many solicitor over the years, but Hodge Jones and Allen was by far the best. They was quick, professional and went far beyond the realms of solicitor and client. They treated us like friends, ensuring that we was happy every step of the way, being there if we had any questions and being concerned with the wellbeing of the family and how legal cases can cause stress. I cannot recommend this company enough. If there was 10 stars then it still would not be enough. Thank you to the staff of Hodge Jones and Allen (Jack in particular)

If I could give no stars I would have, I would strongly recommend AGAINST using this firm for so many reasons but mainly due to the lack of care and professionalism. There were several occasions where I had to chase a response after several weeks of waiting (these were often lengthy periods of 4-5 weeks) and this happened a number of times. The response I often got was around how my solicitor didn't have time to review my response or they were really busy despite me being a paying client also. There was a number of incidents that alerted me I was not being afforded the same duty of care as other clients on their books for reasons that was made clear at the early stages of my case where the tonality and reference to Beyonce in an email which actually had no relevance to my previous email which was a direct question to my solicitor. When I complained about this once I was fed up with the whole experience I was told that because my direct response to the email didn't appear to show that I was upset my feelings were as good as invalid. A piece of advice when people experience mirco aggression we go to our safe space which is our friends & family. So while you saw my professional response to a mirco aggression (we have often been taught to deal with these incidents in this way to avoid gaslighting). Just because I chose to remain professional doesn't mean my experience should be trivialised. If you are a person of color don't put yourself through it and don't be fooled by the presentism on their website....the gas lighting in the response to my complaint just summed what this firm really stand for and its NOT for their clients ESPECIALLY those of colour.

My husband was diagnosed with mesothelioma in 2020. Where he worked years ago there was asbestos but they weren’t issued with masks . Consequently years later he caught Mesothelioma, which can lie dormant for many years. He started making a claim against the company but unfortunately he died before it was settled. I continued with it and with the help of the above company won it. Isobel, who dealt with the claim, was extremely helpful and understanding. Thank you.

Spent £400 for a 40 minute consultation. The lawyer rang me 45 minutes late and did not send me any summary for 15 days. Unprofessional and poor service in my opinion, for that money it was a waste to simply regurgitate information I had already read online so I don’t recommend them

Suzanne has been an extremely helpful support during this time. It’s been very stressful for my family and I to deal with a company like Clarion. Suzanne dealt with them professionally and delivered results. Everyone going through a disrepair case should have Suzanne Bird as their solicitor. Fair, trustworthy and above all her rapport with you is second to none. Whilst fighting my case with Clarion, Suzanne was a wealth of support. I can never thank her enough to be honest. 1024515.0002

If ever you need a lawyer who is experienced in youth criminal law, Caroline Liggins of HJA is absolutely the person to turn to, especially if the young person is neurodiverse. Caroline has a calming, reassuring professional presence, as well as extensive knowledge and understanding of autism, enabling her to communicate with a young person in a way they understand. She has the patience of a saint with anxious parents/caregivers/clients and a clear, no nonsense approach in fully explaining realistic outcomes. All this, and a sense of humour! I cannot recommend her more

I successfully litigated against an Ombudsman with a claim for contraventions of the Equality Act 2010 S.19 and S. 20. The district judge ruled that I was entitled to face-to-face meetings as I cannot receive or make phone calls and I find dealing with (undermining and convoluted) correspondence stressful to the point of incapacitation. I then had a much more profound claim against my social landlord, of greater duration, and of greater impact in terms of hurt feelings and to the amount of, I allege, long-term mental torture and debilitating. I decided it would be better to have legal representation for this claim, and then emailed numerous solicitors. Hodge, Allen & Jones was the only firm to respond and I applaud them. I then endured a protracted and stressful submission of documents to apply for initial legal advice. This stage involved a face-to-face with my bank manager who was surprised at the required premature forensic detail and who had to compose a letter for unprinted matter. I was then able to meet a paralegal face-to-face, subject to delay of covid-19, and met a very pleasant young man. I felt that any inaccurate assumptions regarding the said Act would be overcome by reference to a supervisor, although I did regret not having an experienced person for what is a serious matter. More than ANYTHING, I urgently needed the firm to write to my social landlord in order to pre-empt further debilitating behaviour, which would further undermine my vulnerable mental health and while I live in an anti-social environment, which is detrimental to my health. (I am 64 years old.) However, I was left distressed and in abeyance as my paralegal read my concise Disclosure of Documents and prepared for his holiday. As anticipated, I was then subject to undermining behaviour from my social landlord (more indirect discriminations and refusal to provide appropriate adjustment but with more severe consequences). Subsequently, I have had a mental breakdown. By email, and while I do not have the internet installed at home, I insisted on cessation of correspondence with HJA as my new suffering could have been prevented and steered towards good effect. Weeks have gone by. I was surprised to see an email in my box from the paralegal. A few days later, I explained that if he wanted me to actually read the contents of his email then he might want to comply with the Equality Act S19 and S20 and arrange for a face-to-face appointment---the details supplied to me by text. I do feel that the firm should accept some responsibility for the state I have been left in and that it should step up to the mark in an adult and legally responsible way. If they cannot do that, then they should not send me emails that I cannot read.
