Shortly before my assignments were due my tutor (who I had no issues with before this) left abruptly and I then had no contact with anyone about my assignments for over a week. Then, the next person who was supposed to be helping me said I had to hand in everything within in FOUR days (two of which were the weekend so no one was working) - why? This was not the case previously. Needless to say, I did not feel supported during this time. There is seemingly not much communication between the tutors either. It can be difficult sometimes to communicate with tutors and get feedback - this may be because they are busy with others or haven't seen the email, but it can be stressful when I need help and no one is responding. As well as this, at the beginning of my course I had some feedback which I found to be harsh and unnecessary. It seemed as though I was supposed to know this topic and format, even though I hadn't studied it before. I was upset by this and I already felt overwhelmed - I did consider leaving the course at this time but it was too late to get a refund so I continued. Also, feedback is not very useful/specific sometimes especially if you have learning difficulties or a disability, like I do. Overall, I don't think studying online is for me in general, but the situation could have been better/easier. Never had something be so tedious and long, while also causing so much stress and anxiety. I kind of wish I hadn't done it and had chosen somewhere else. I don't even care if I get into university at this point, I just want it to be over with. I wouldn't recommend. I have also noticed most of the good reviews are simply of customer service experiences whereas the lower ones are from experiences with the actual courses and studying.

United Kingdom | 24 June 2024Tutors - really nice people, but the Oxbridge framework doesn't allow them to properly support your learning. For example, I requested one 45 minute monthly call to check in with my tutor and ask language questions. Not an unreasonable ask. Oxbridge's support team stepped in to tell me this was not available to me. Since I was outside my cancellation window, there was nothing I could do about it. Coursework - full of broken links, typos and errors in the coursework. I've listed them and shared them with Oxbridge in the hope they will fix these errors for any future students. They also test you in assignments on topics you haven't yet covered. There is also a heavy reliance on BBC Bitesize (which your license fee already covers) Also, printed materials were not available to me despite being promised at point of sale (Oxbridge relied on asterisks and small print.) Quality - more worrying was the quality of translations, my Spanish partner spotted many simple mistakes in what was being taught. I worked really hard, and I am hoping for a pass in spite of the issues above. Thanks to my tutor Emily for doing her best in Oxbridge's framework, which is not really designed to support your learning, but to maximise a passive income stream.

United Kingdom | 22 June 2024Level 3 Diploma in Travel and Tourism Review The course itself is very simple and easy to understand, allowing you to achieve a Distinction without much difficulty. Though if you aim to achieve a Distinction * it may sometimes be difficult as you may require additional external resources to achieve this grade. For example, conducting a mock interview that requires another individual and must be recorded. A couple of things to note about studying this course with oxbridge is that the unit markings typically exceed the 2 week deadline tutors are given and therefore this may hinder your progress if you have not yet achieved a Distinction in a unit and must submit it again as you will now very likely spend 4 weeks waiting to complete this unit to a Distinction level, you may notice where the problem lays, as you have 12 units to complete in 12 months for this qualification. Following completion of all 12 units to a Distinction level, what is not disclosed without enquiring is the 3 month internal quality assessment and the additionally in my case nearly 6 months on top of this, totalling 9 months for external quality marking, following completion of this course on my side. Overall, the course can be completed in approximately 7 months if you are willing to commit to it at an enhanced level. (This does not include the external and internal quality assessment) Student support have been extremely helpful and proficient at resolving any queries or answering any questions that arose, this was always responded to within a couple of hours during operational hours. (Huge shoutout to the Student Manager K. Baldwin) If time is not a problem, I would most certainly recommend taking this qualification on, as long as you are proficient with independent research and assignments. The price fairly reflects the qualification and support from Oxbridge.
