Running low - paid premium delivery - arrived and all good

I ordered heating oil from the website on 30/01/25, I chose standard delivery with a delivery date on or before 12/02/25. When the order confirmation came through the date had been amended to 17/02/25, unfortunately this was not noticed until today. I called to query this and was told the date would never have been 12/02/25 on the website which is frustrating as I would have never purchased had I of known it wouldn’t be arriving until 17/02/25. Call handler could not grasp the issue and there was no apology or offer to help rectify the situation. £50 later and my heating oil is coming by the date on the website. I’m really unhappy with the customer service. Please be aware of the dates on ordering and don’t fall into the trap I did of having to pay more money to get the oil on time! My family have been using Goff for 10 years and after this experience we will never use them again!

Driver found lock difficult but managed to make delivery in the end. Thank you for making the extra effort.

I have ordered from you for the last 9 years and always been pleased, on this occasion there was a delay of 5 days and what made me very disappointed and angry was the fact that nobody contacted me to let me know that it was even delayed, I had to phone to find that out, running low on oil already, that’s why I ordered when I did. So not very impressed with your customer service at all.

Great Service

The delivery came on time but the driver broke our manhole cover. He apologised saying he just couldn’t see it in the low sun but had reported it. I haven’t heard a word from Goff since. I presume their intention is to lie low and hope the problem disappears.
