United Kingdom | 15 February 2025After many years as a customer, when the service has been competent and reliable, Goff fell off the cliff with a crash. order placed and confirmed 27/1 - delivery by 12/02. When the customary text message announcing delivery next day did not arrive, but i felt confident the oil would arrive; when delivery not made by midday, I called Customer Service (no response - what sort of service is that?). I managed to speak to somebody later that day, and he gave a mildly incoherent explanation and apology, saying he would ask the despatch office to give some idea of a date for delivery. Several days and phone calls later, none initiated by Goff(!), I have placed an order elsewhere, as we are a couple in our mid-eighties, and we need oil to be able to keep our Aga alight for cooking. Update The late delivery arrived yesterday, Speaking to the driver elicited the information that there seem to have been issues with supplies of Kero arriving in your depots. Why does not matter to me, the fact of your being unable to meet your orders in order is something your customers ought to know - obsessive secrecy is not an acceptable procedure. I am happy to continue with Goff on the basis that things will be different next time - so am willing to raise the rating to 3 Stars Michael Darbyshire

Still couldn’t give me a date for oil so had to pay the higher price for emergency oil the following week and lo and behold goff oil arrived day after. Frustrating and unnecessarily expensive experience

I had to call multiple times for an update and customer service could give no explanation and at first couldn’t give me a delivery date. Not the prompt service I had previously received. Communication needs to be greatly improved if there are foreseen delays in delivery.

United Kingdom | 12 February 2025I ordered 500 litres on the 28th Jan - based on previous experiences of Goff delivering very quickly and efficiently. Unfortunately this has not been the case on this occasion and tomorrow will be the last day in the delivery time window. We ran out of oil on 3rd February and it's now costing us a fortune to run fan heaters and purchase 2 butane gas bottles + a gas heater so we have some kind of heat source. We also have a disabled 7 year old son who is feeling unwell, not helped by the lack of heating or hot water. I tried to call and email to pay extra for expedited delivery but there was no response. I've only given two stars based on the fading hope that we will still receive delivery tomorrow. EDIT: 13/02/2025 - delivery took place this morning - thank you

No help via customer services and yet they are happy to man sales and take full payment for a delivery they have not met. Goff petroleum have breached their contract of delivery and send me a link to write a review rather than deliver 2000 litres of oil. Seriously not impressed
