The driver did not look on doorstep for tank key as says on order as I am disabled or knock the door he just left putting a card in my door unable to deliver,after a phone call oil was delivered very quickly.

I have used Goff for many years and have never had any issues. Sadly I had a bad experience the other day when calling the office to check on my delivery date for an oil order I placed on 10th January. At the time of ordering I had not realised how low on oil I was until I checked the tank with a wooden dipstick that was made for me. I explained this to the gentleman I spoke to and he was most unsympathetic despite me saying that I would have to turn off my heating if the oil didn’t arrive soon and I also informed him I am a pensioner. I live in a rural area with no close neighbours which was fine when my husband was at home but now he is in a nursing home. He said I would have to pay extra money for a sooner delivery which frankly I can’t afford. I couldn’t continue with the call for long as I became very upset. I turned off my heating on the 15th January as couldn’t risk emptying the tank. I am still waiting for my oil delivery. I was surprised by the attitude of the person I spoke to particularly as I found the email today from Goff sent on 20th December stating that Goff are proud to be part of UKIFDA's Cold Weather Priority Initiative for the vulnerable elderly. Maybe I was part of this initiative when I was caring for my husband at home but now I’m on my own and struggling with dealing with everything I am no longer considered. Mrs J Hawes
