Having a personal wine adviser sounds grand and could be a completely empty ploy by the company. Calling Nick is not like that. Sometimes I call him. Sometimes he calls me? We chat and an order may or may not follow. I can’t remember the last time I bought a bottle of wine anywhere else. I’ve not needed to. I know I am one of thousands of customers but the service remains personal, prompt and efficient.

United Kingdom | 11 April 2025Written by Ian Walker I ordered the Argentinian Malbec mixed case. When it arrived 1/3 of the bottles had been substituted from the details in the magazine. Out was one wine that I specifically was looking forward to and replaced with one I had drunk previously which wasn’t to my taste. I spoke to Phillip, my wine advisor and he explained the discrepancy and rectified my missing wine situation like a dream. Well done to him. However if something in the magazine has changed its bottle variety it should be flagged up pre order so any one purchasing is notified. To quote the late Kinky Friedman, “How hard can it be?”
