Diane who visited us to discuss our requirements was very well prepared and had obviously spent some time beforehand looking into our area and the price we could expect. Totally blew out the water the other Agent who came see us. Needless to say we went with McEwan Fraser Legal. Shauny who led the team, then picked up the marketing and scheduling, were also excellent in discussing how and when we wanted to see potential buyers, also we had requested a change to the marketing pictures and that was picked up and dealt with immediately. The Open till Midnight helped as we had viewings coming through as soon as it hit the web. House sold in a week for more than home report and an awful lot more than the 1st Estate Agent had suggested. Was selling an £80k flat in Glasgow and was looking for an all-in-one service (estate agency and solicitor) - McEwan Fraser came out top based on internet research. Let me start by saying that, if you get the right people, then the service is excellent - they take care of everything, keep you informed and are very responsive, available and helpful. However, initially at least, my opinion wasn't favourable - it felt like my admittedly low value sale wasn't really a priority. We lucked out when Gemma (Estate Agent) took over - suddenly we were getting the suggestions and level of contact we'd expected for the price involved, which isn't the cheapest. When the solicitors took over it was more of the same - Natalie and Ashleigh inspired confidence that we had our interests in safe hands and brought peace of mind. Even when the first sale fell through the way in which all three managed the return to market was reassuringly professional and drama-free. Overall I'd recommend McEwan Fraser - the all-in-one service is excellent at minimising the stress involved - on two conditions: 1. Your property is worth more than £100-150k; 2. You get the right team on your case.

Our lawyer was Kim Sutherland and she did an excellent job for us in assisting us buy out a family member. We required a mortgage to do this and she was incredibly helpful getting the deal done in the timeframe we requested. There was a lot of going backwards and forwards on documentation, including sorting some items that had not been foreseen. Kim was always calm, knowledgeable, patient and very hardworking. Nothing was too much trouble and we made the deadline thanks to her.
